*Frank's POV*

I walked down the crowded hallway headed towards Gerard's room.

It felt so weird to call him Gerard. It felt wrong in a way, teachers normally get you in trouble for using their first names. But Mr. Way wanted me to use his first name, which made me feel uncomfortable.

Well, I guess if he's my "friend" now I should be calling him by his first name... Right?

Whatever, I shouldn't get all worked up on this.

I mean, I wanted to be his friend. Maybe even more thank friends if you know what I mean. (Wink wink)

Stop being weird, Frank.

Kids trampled me and pushed me into lockers on the way down the hall. Sometime, I think that these kids do it on purpose to hurt me. Other times I just think they can't help it because of all of the students cramming into one space trying to get to class as fast as possible.

But mostly the time I think it's on purpose.

I eventually got to Gerard's room just on time. I passed his desk and gave him a tiny little grin. He passed one back.

"Good morning, Frank," he smiled. His baby teeth that showed when he smiled were so cute.

I blushed. "Good morning Gerar- I mean Mr. Way- I mean Gerard!" I hesitated. I went over to my desk and sat down.

There you go again embarrassing yourself. Smooth one.

He probably thinks I'm crazy. Or stupid. I don't know. Why didn't I just call him Gerard like he told you to? Stop being such an F up.

I gave myself a little pinch on my forearm. All of my anxiety was building up inside of me. I out my head in my hands.

"Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop!" I whispered to myself.

Remember, all of this was over me hesitantly deciding what to call Gerard.

Class had started. We got to work on our projects. Gerard was gonna come around like always and talk to us individually.

I pulled out my drawing of Pansy and started doing some final touches to the rough draft. I wanted this to be perfect. I wanted to be proud of myself for once, so I really tried hard with this project.

I dragged the pencil softly across the paper, making curves and lines and 3D shapes to bring out my guitar.

"Hello Frank!" Gerard eagerly said to me. He crouched down next to my seat. "How's everything going?"

"G-good," I responded.

"It sure looks good! You've got quite a talent," he said with a smirk.

"Thanks, Gerard," I chuckled.

"Hey, if you want to, feel free to come to my room for lunch today. I think it would be nice to have your around," he encouraged.

"Yeah, sounds good," I responded.

"I hope you brought a lunch today, Frank."

My smile faded away. I really didn't want to eat. I was never in the mood and I never had time to make anything. I bit on my lip and reviled the truth.

"No. I didn't. I'm sorry." I looked down at my lap and fiddled with my fingers.

"It's alright Frank. I understand," Gerard nodded his head. He got up and patted my back. He walked away and went on to help the next person.

I was just happy that he invited me in for lunch once again. It isn't fun being the kid sitting alone everyday with no lunch while everybody laughs at you and throws food at your face.

I turned back to my project and started working.

I ran up the stairs to Gerard's classroom for lunch. I couldn't wait to see him.

I trotted down the hallway. The sound of my feet hitting the ground echoed to empty hallway.

I turned into Gerard's room peeking in.

"Hey Frankie, come on in!" He shouted across the room. I closed the door and headed to my seat in the back of the room.

"You don't have to sit back there, come sit closer to me at this desk," he pointed to the desk right in front of him.

"Oh, okay," I said. I sat down.

"So I was thinking, would you like to come over sometime this weekend? We can watch a movie, go get coffee, maybe I can hear you play guitar...?" Gerard asked fidgeting with the pencil in his hand.

My eyes widened and a smile flew across my face ear to ear. This was like some sort of fantasy. Did he just ask me to hang out with him? I pinched myself to make sure this was real life.

Yep, it was real. All real!

"Yeah! Of course!" I said eagerly. "And I'll bring my guitar, too."

A smile came onto his face as well. He seemed shocked at my response, maybe he thought I would pass the offer off?

I could never pass off an opportunity like this.

"Really?! Awesome! Have you ever played for anyone before?" He asked.

Well I didn't think this through at all. I have never EVER played for anyone before.

"Actually, no... Never," I revealed. "You'll be the first to ever hear me play."

"Really? Wow. I feel so honored," he giggled. He flipped his hair out of his face.

Oh my. That hair flip kind of turned me on.

...Is that bad?

"You should be honored! You should feel like royalty," I joked around. We both laughed. He took a sip of his water and ripped out a tiny piece of paper from his notebook. He started writing something down. He gave me the paper when he was done.

"Here's my cell number. Send me a text when you get home from school," He said.

"Sure thing!" I said. I tucked the paper into my back pocket.

The bell rang. I had to go to fifth period.

"See you this weekend, Gerard!" I said as I ran to the door.

"Don't forget to text me!" He shouted back.

I smiled as I walked down the hallway back to my locker to fetch my books.

I couldn't wait to hang out with Gerard.

Or actually, just hang out with a friend in general.
