I'm dreading this party thing.
Gee wants to leave in a few hours, and I'm not ready.
What of something goes wrong? What if I embarrass myself? What if someone I know is there?
I took a deep breath.
Just stay calm. Just stay calm.
I kept repeating those words over and over again, but nothing was helping with the thoughts of what could potentially happen tonight.
I had to make Gerard happy, that was my only goal. If he wants to do this, I have to face my fears and do it too.
I let out a deep breath. My shoulders fell, and I slouched down in the dining table chair that sat just outside the kitchen.
Gerard was out getting candy for outside the door if any children come and we're not around. I was basically just waiting for him to get back.
If tonight we come home to see no candy gone from the bowl, I won't be surprised. We live at the last apartment on the fourth story, which probably isn't the greatest place for trick-or-treating.
And to be completely honest, I miss halloween as a kid. Mostly because I never really went trick-or-treating. I didn't have a group to go with, nor did I care for any candy. Halloween was my birthday, and mom and dad would let me have the living room all to myself to watch horror movies until midnight.
They would never let me do that other than halloween.
It was also when mom and dad cared, and I miss that as well.
I would much rather be watching horror movies all night than going to a party.
Ah, great. The party.
I was still stressing about it. I mean, I didn't know Gerard was even the party person to begin with.
He was nothing like a party person. I always thought of him as the guy that sits at home all day.
Like me.
Where are we going for this party anyway? It was probably going to be somewhere in the city, any place we find. But who knows.

Gerard and I were all ready to go. I had X's over my eyes and I pretended to be some "famous rocker" that didn't actually exist.
I don't think anyone is gonna notice.
Gerard wore a black suit and read tie. His face was as white as a ghost. He was supposed to be a vampire, and he definitely wore it well.
He was a pretty hot vampire.
Okay, Frank. Stop being weird.
But hey, he's my boyfriend now. I'm aloud to think he looks hot. Right?
Whatever.
Gerard swung open the door placed the candy bowl outside. He kept it open and leaned against the door.
"Ready? Come on! Let's go!" Gerard said, motioning me out the door. He kicked himself off the door and I followed him out. He shoved the keys in the lock and locked the door. We walked down the hall together and eventually got to the car.
We headed down a bunch of busy roads. I saw kids in costumes walking down the sidewalks with their parents.
Seeing all of the kids happy sorta made me happy.
Time went by, and we ended up at a big barn with purple and green lights shining out of it. You could also feel the vibrations of loud music within the car.
