It's been 2 weeks since I left the hospital. No permanent damage, other than the scars of course. My depression is a bigger issue but I'm getting therapy now. I'm getting better.
Now I sat on the cliff over the Hollywood sign. The sun was melting over the horizon, and faint stars played in the air. "Hey beautiful!", Corey called as he joined me. He stood by me this whole time, the tears and pain, laughs and dances and we've stood together for 3 years (1987-1989) and he's made the years magical. How lucky am I?
I was fiddling with my paper airplane necklace, Corey had one like it too. "Babe, have I ever told you how much you mean to me?", I asked looking to the sun. "Yes, but tell me again please.", he said as his ocean eyes met mine.
I told Corey how much he meant to me and how I loved him. He went on to tell me the same.
...
Edward, Corey, Feldman, my close friend Kitty, and Edwards girlfriend Ryan. The adults where up dancing. It was a bbq my family puts on with all our friends. Dinner was over and music was put on. I wore a spaghetti strapped dress that was white with blue pastel flowers and a white chocker with a cameo hanging from it, with white heels and a bright smile.
We all sat at the table laughing and talking. "Jesus! That's hot!", Edward yelled as he dropped pizza sauce on his arm. We all laughed. "SJ, can I talk to you?", Edward asked standing up. "Sure.", I said following him and walking off to the driveway.
"Are you okay? I mean, you seem different after the attack.", he asked lovingly. I smiled. "Oddly, I'm happier. I know better than to trust people I don't know and oddly I'm not as worried about how I look. We all are growing up, and I'm dealing with that. I want to make as many memories as possible.", I said.
"Your a real tough girl, and you've survived the worst, and your my favorite cousin Sarah Jane."
I roped Edward into a hug and we joined the group. I'm okay.
As everyone watched the stars, I thought about the last year. The trip, meeting new friends, the boy/doll, being pushed in the lake, the attack, this moment.
There is honestly no place or human being is rather be with. There isn't any life is rather be living.

I stood to the left of the preacher who was marring my closet friends. The music kicked up and the flower girl skipped down the way to the alter, she parted and took a seat. Ralph stood across from me nervous as one can be.
Ellie came down the isle in the most beautiful wedding dress ever. Her hair curled and she had flowers in her hands. I smiled at her, trying to ease her nervousness.
Once Ellie arrived to Ralph they went on with the vows and such. "I do", Ralph said. "I do!", Ellie said. "You may kiss the bride!", the preacher announced. I smiled and we all walked down to the reception. "Wanna dance?", a voice called. "Matt!", I yelled pulling Matt Dillon into a hug. We are real close.
"Of course!", I said. Matt is like my older brother, he's so nice to me.
...
It was later, dark out. We'd released lanterns into the sky and we watched them float away. "It's beautiful.", I said admiring the sky. "Not as beautiful as my daughter.", my father stated. "Guns don't kill people, fathers with beautiful daughters do. Be careful, your the best thing that's ever been mine.", he said.
"Worlds best dad.", I said.
Ellie and Ralph looked at each other so lovingly. "Hey hey hey!", Corey called putting an arm around me. "Hi ya."
"They look so happy. I'm glad I can play Cupid. But I'm glad Cupid gave me you.", I said.
"This night is sparking, don't you let it go.", he said. "I'm wonder-struck, blushing all the way home.", I said laughing.
Ellie and Ralph danced around under the lights. They really do belong

May 10th 1997:
I lit the candles on C.J's cake and sat down and thought about my now 1 year old son. Corey and I have been married for 3 years and now had a 1 year old son: Corey Ian Haim jr. who we call C.J. He has his fathers eyes.Edward was engaged and my parents couldn't be happier. Our friends had grown up but are still kid like and fun. I got up and carried the cake out to the party. We sang "Happy Birthday", and had cake.
"Nothing is more perfect.", Corey said. "What do you mean?", I asked. He smirked. "C.J, you, this life we live.", he said. We both had successful careers and lived in a house in Cali. I had big news to tell Corey tonight.
...
It was 5:30 and C.J was laying on the floor giggling at the tv with his father. I was in the kitchen wrapping a present for Corey. I skipped over to the loves of my life and sat down. "Open this.", I said handing Corey the present. He smiled. "What's this?", he asked. I picked up my son and put him in my lap. "Just open it!"? I said excitedly.
He hurried to open the box and took out the positive pregnancy test. "Your kidding! This is great!", he yelled. "Another little bundle of joy.", I said.
...
"Wake me up before you go-go! Cause I ain't planing on going solo!", me and Corey sang at the top of our lungs and really off key. "This is so stupid but I really love this song!", I said once it was over. "I just like your angelic voice SJ.", he said. CJ was giggling in the back seat and we blew past the Townsville sign. Reunion.
The western style town was in full view and everyone I knew was there. We parked and I jumped to get CJ out of his seat and I held him and kissed his little face. By now, the little Cookie Monster could walk so when I put him down he took off. "Ellie!", I yelled as she walked to me. "Sarah Jane!", she said in return.
She had Ralph Jr with her and I grabbed him and held him up. "Your so cute!", I said to the little boy. He was a few years older than CJ, but he really liked him. I put him down and joined the group. "Otis.", I said wrapping him into a hug.
"How you been!?", he asked.
"Iv lived, loved, learned....and I wouldn't change any memory for anything and I can't wait for the next adventure. I think...no, I know....you gotta love your life to really live your life.", I said!
........
And that's a wrap!
Wow, ending all ready? It's been totally amazing writing this. I really gotta thank Elle, go find yourself someone like Elle :)~Nickol
