So I apologise if you had to wait this long, but outside of here I still have another 7 stories and I need to write on all of them. I've had some writers block as well so I hope you like the chapter, it's not my best but I tried.

Madeline rushed home to change into a chiffon flower dress for the drinks that Hoppo promised. When she got back to the tower, the guys were already waiting for her. "Ready?" Jesse asked her in his ever flirtatious manner. "Yes." she smiled at them as they started to walk down the promenade, Yatsey and Hoppo leading the pack to the apparently one of the bars there.

"So Harries told us you're originally from Belgium?" Reidy asked her as the waitress places their drinks in front of everyone. Drinks were pushed around so they ended up with the right person before the conversation started again.

"I am, I didn't really grew up on the beach. I think at the age of twenty I'd only gone to the beach four times or so. And up until now that hasn't changed that much. But I'm a bit of a waterbug. I was part of a rowing team in London, have my diving certificate." she explained to them as she lifted the glass of wine to her lips. She wasn't really one that like playing twenty questions, so she put stuff out there as much as she could with just one question. Less questions to answer that way.

"So what did you do in London?" Glick asked her as he leant his elbows on the table.

"I was a trauma doctor in the A&E of King's college in London. And twice a week I was the on board doctor of the emergency helicopter for southeast of England." she explained to them with a tilt of her head. "Which means?" Kerrbox asked her curious and wanting to know more about their new colleague.

"That when there was an accident or a case in need of immediate assistance the helicopter would get on scene and I'd be the doctor on scene." she explained to them, her hands moving in their usual manner like she always did when explaining things.

"So you've seen your fair share of it." Hoppo pointed out, looking at their newest recruit, getting more and more convinced that the young woman had indeed been the right pick for them. He was happy that he'd gone with her out of all the candidates, she put in a lot of work and though it had been her first day. So far she'd only left a good impression. all of the lifeguards, but mostly the ones longest on the job wanted to know the most about her. To see if she would really fit in their tight knit family and group. They all had some screws loose that was for certain but they were all there on Bondi to save lives. And they all wanted to test her to know if she had that same drive and interest. She'd done a great job already so far, but wanted to know even more.

"Caraccidents, motorway accidents, stabbings, gunshots, name it, I'm sure I've seen it. that's the upside I suppose of being one of the trauma doctors in the busiest A&E in London and Air ambulance." she explained to them, thinking back to all of those long shifts, the time she'd gone aboard when a disaster had happened. It had all lead up to now, taught her all that she knew.

But she'd loved every second of it, the crashcourse in medicine and she loved it for that reason. The different things she'd come across. If she were like her best friend Emma, her being a pediatriacian she'd be crazy with doing the same thing over and over again. No matter how much she detested it, now Maddie loved doing as many different things as possible.

Luke, their best male friend, he was a laboratorian, the three of them had worked in the same hospital. They'd known each other since they were 12 and they were 27 now. they knew each other better than most, needed one glance, one word, they worked in tune when they needed to.

And then there was Autumn, the psychiatrist, the four of them had always been 'the bunch.' Like they called themselves if they referred to the three others but themselves. "Like what?" Hoppo questioned. "really, I have hilarious, sad, tragic, frustrating, terrifying, I've got them all. Take your pick." she told them as she looked around the table with a smile on her face and shake of her head with a remembering look on her face.
