Percy was uneasy about going to visit Jason on his last day in the hospital. Annabeth was coming with him, she didn't want to risk Jason hurting Percy. And anyways, it was finally time for her to apologize. She'd hurt Jason pretty bad.

But Jason had hurt Percy too. That's what mattered to her, getting back at Jason for Percy. The green eyed boy seemed almost sulky as they sat in the elevator together. She held Percy's hand, frowning. "Perce?"

He looked at her, blinking. "Hm? What's up, Beth?"

"I'm sorry for hurting him. I just...you were so scared of him! I had to do something about it."

Percy remained silent as they got to Jason's floor. Nico was sitting beside his friend, glaring at the other two when they came in. Jason was wearing his clothes, and watched as they came in, settling on his other side. He was mostly watching his mate, which Annabeth understood. After a couple days ago...

                                                                                                 -+-

Jason fidgeted with his sheets, watching Annabeth. "I love him."

She sighed, nodding. "I know you do, Jason. But what's  up with all the running and hiding from him? He loves you too. He understands how much he screwed up before. You need to apologize to him now." She reached out, touching his hand gently. "He's terrified of you, Jason."

"You never seem to stop reminding me." He muttered, rubbing his eyes. She nodded.

"Well, you need to be reminded." She rose an eyebrow. Then she sighed and stopped, shaking her head slowly. "You're not the best guy, you know that, right?"

"Yeah. But neither is Percy."

"Exactly. You need to stop acting like you're better than Percy when you're not. Okay? You're both the same. You're popular boys with good grades on the sports teams. You're soul mates. That's just something you need to accept and stop torturing yourself over."

"But I have accepted it!"

"Then tell Percy."

                                                                                              -+-

She sighed and stretched. Jason was in love with Percy. Percy was in love with Jason. IT was stupid that they wouldn't just get it together and admit it.

"So, how are you feeling."

"Better." Jason sat up, looking at Nico. The boy hummed.

"Luke's here to pick me up. See you guys later." Nico left quickly, eyes wide. Jason groaned. UGh. He rubbed his eyes as he watched him leave. When Nico was gone, Jason stared at Percy again.

Annabeth cleared her throat, glaring at him. "So are you going to tell him?"

"Tell me what."

Jason blushed, shaking his head. "Nothing, Percy. I need you to know that I don't hate you, though, okay? It's just...difficult? To think around you?" He rubbed his hands together. "Every time I start to, it's just like, all I can even think about is you." He frowned. "Which is why I've run away so many times. It's why I've avoided you."

"It's like a withdrawal," Annabeth explained. "Knowing your mate is your mate but denying yourself their touch. Your mind is trying to wrap around the fact you're basically denying it of the one thing it needs." She watched as Jason and Percy both turned red. She rolled her eyes. "Sex isn't the only thing that can fuel that, dumbasses. Just being in the same room together, talking, that with satiate the need. Jason, you'll be able to think straight, Percy, you'll probably be able to study finally. Just being friends will make you feel...better."

Jason already knew it was true. His stomach loosened. Just watching Percy watch Annabeth made him feel like he was happy. He didn't know what to think about it too long.

Percy met his eyes. They both blushed again.

"I can work with that." Percy whispered, fidgeting with a ring on his middle finger. Annabeth smiled at him. Jason tilted his head and nodded.

"I...I think I can too."

Annabeth grinned at them.

                                                                                             -+-

Percy and Jason did start hanging out after that. Usually it was to study together, with Annabeth, but after a couple days it just became the two of them. They got closer, became better friends.

Percy wanted to introduce Jason to his parents. Jason didn't want to do it, he thought it was way too intimate. Percy said they didn't have a choice.

Jason was stuck. He had dressed up like Percy had told him to, but he didn't want to go. HIs wallet was clenched tight in his hand, his legs were trembling. He closed his eyes, breathing deeply, before he opened the door and left. Shit.

Percy smiled at him from inside the running car. "Get in, dumbass, we're almost late."

A week ago, Jason would've decked Percy in the face. Now he just rolled his eyes and got in, glaring at his wallet. "I don't want to do this."

"You haven't stop saying that since I brought it up." He muttered. "Mom and dad aren't awful, okay? Seriously...And hey, why so upset about dressing up? Isn't it kinda neat to see me outside of cargo shorts and a tee?"

Jason rolled his eyes, but there wasn't anything that he could argue about there. Percy was hot all dressed up in a suit and tie. Jason shifted around some. "Whatever." He muttered. "I'm not feeding your ego." He could feel Percy practically glowing at that. "How do I look, anyways? I feel dumb."

"Trust me. You're the only person I could confidently say looks better than me in a suit."

Jason swallowed. Percy had said stuff like that almost constantly since they'd started hanging out. Albeit it was only a week, but...already it was annoying. Jason shifted in his seat, looking out the window. "You, are a jerk." He muttered.

"How so?" Percy made a right turn. He parked outside a fancier restaurant, one Jason remembered from his childhood. He shivered and got out.

"You just are. Why are we here?"

"This is where we're eating...? Are you alright dude?" Percy rested his hand on Jason's shoulder. The blond inhaled deeply, nodding.

"Yeah. I just...don't like this place."

"Aw, why not? I get to see you in a suit and everything!"

Jason glared at him. "Nothing. Let's just get in."

Percy nodded and jogged up, holding the door open for him. Jason thanked him as he walked inside, sticking his stupid Superman wallet into his pocket.

"Let's do this."
