Dinner was not as bad as Jason had thought it would be. Percy's parents were amazing. His mother alone was the sweetest woman he'd ever met, but paired with Percy's step-dad Paul, it was so obvious they were soul mates, it made his heart hurt.
He'd come to realize that being around other mated pairs made him want Percy even more. It was odd to get that feeling from Percy's own parents, but not too weird. They were in love and Jason couldn't avoid the fact he wanted that with their son.
Paul was the first one who really got into the difficult questions for Jason to answer. He'd asked about Jason's family. Percy had perked up at that, since Jason never really spoke about it.
Jason had good reason for that. For never talking about himself and his family. His father and his mother were awful. His real mother had overdosed on cocaine when he was a child. His sister ran off with a group of women who terrorized misogynists across the country. His father was a drunk CEO of a bank, the Olympus Bank. He was usually trying to fuck women in Jason's bed, which was definitely not a good thing to be sharing.
"Jay, are you okay?"
HE shook himself out, then nodded. "Yeah, of course." He hummed, rubbing his hair. "My family?"
"Yeah, you got any siblings?"
"I have a sister."
Paul nodded a little, smiling at him. "That's nice...? Mind telling us about her?'
Jason frowned. Sally whispered something to Paul, who hummed and nodded. "Right. Percy, how has..." And just like that, Jason was off the hook. He looked at Sally, confused, before looking at Percy, who gave him a look of trepidation. HIs parents were a mischievous couple. Whenever something like that happened between them, there was nothing good to follow. Not that they were bad people, they were amazing people, but those looks never meant anything good.
Jason zoned out basically the rest of dinner. The only parts he caught were mentions of himself or Percy.
"Jason, will you be staying the night with us?"
He blinked slowly, looking at Sally, who was smiling sweetly at him. He frowned. "What?"
She chuckled, shaing her head. "Will you be staying the night with Percy. Coming home with us? YOu seemed anxious when we asked about your family. It's alright if you need to stay."
He blushed, swallowing. "I...I suppose...if Percy doesn't mind?" He looked at Percy, who smiled back and nodded.
"Dude, I've been waiting forever to get to play games with you!"
Jason blushed some and nodded. "T-Then I suppose I'll stay the night. Bu-But there's nothing to worry about with my home life, Mrs. Jackson. Everything's fine." He smiled weakly at her. She nodded and smiled at Paul, kissing her husband before excusing herself for the bathroom.
Percy looked at Jason. Jason purposely avoided his gaze, poking at his soup. A warm hand settled on his arm. Jason closed his eyes.
"Jay?"
"I'm alright, Percy."
The boy looked at his stepfather, then nodded back at Jason, smiling. "Of course you are."
Jason was in for an earful of shit for the whole night.

Nico's boyfriends were awful. Really, they were! They heard one word of Jason and Percy spending the night together and they went into overprotective mode! Luke of Percy, Octavian of Jason. It was terrible. And so they ended up knocking on Percy's front door, asking if they could stay too. Sally Jackson was a wonderful woman, allowed them in and everything. Percy made the executive decision to let them stay. It was the weekend, they were all in relationships, whatever. Paul was a little less open about it, demanding they keep the door open the whole time. Luke and Octavian were totally fine with that since Nico decided to curl up more with Jason than his own mates. Luke and Percy wouldn't stop playing video games together, Octavian was reading, so Jason and Nico decided to gossip. If they were going to have a sleepover like girls, why not act like girls!
"They asked me about my family," Jason mumbled, playing with Nico's hair. The black haired teen frowned some, blinking.
"What did you do?"
"I didn't tell them about anything. How can I? Percy went through that same thing with his step-father. That rumor I'd heard wasn't a rumor. It was true..." He frowned and pet down Nico's hair. "I don't know what to do. Do I tell them? What if they try to take me away from dad?"
Nico made a face at him, resting his head on his shoulder. "Why would they? Having a father who drinks is normal."
Jason glared. "You know he does more than just drink."
Nico fell quiet again, petting Jason's arm. "I think you should tell the truth." He said again after a few minutes of thinking. Jason groaned and closed his eyes. Percy looked over, tilting his head.
"Neeks, you're not kissing Jason again are you?"
Nico went bright red. Luke and Octavian both whipped around, staring at him, while Jason rolled his eyes. "No, Percy, he's just laying on me."
Luke growled and pulled his mate away. "He's ours." Octavian rounded in on Luke and Nico, wrapping them both in a hug. Nico blushed but cuddled closer to his mates, kissing Luke's neck. Jason rolled his eyes when Percy climbed onto the bed looking offended. Jason glared at him.
"I'm not kissing him, okay? Or anyone else. Chill out."
"Good." Percy laid beside Jason, looking at Luke and Nico and Octavian. The threesome were asleep on the floor all curled up and happy. PErcy looked back at Jason. The blond was watching him. Jason was always watching Percy. He sighed and snuggled up to his mate, looking sad.
"What's wrong."
"Nothin'," He watched Nico and Luke move closer together, Octavian snuggling up to Nico's back. His eyes pricked with tears. He closed them, before falling asleep.
"Why did you want me to come out here again? To meet your parents?"
"I was hoping I would learn about you."
"But you know me, Perce."
The older boy gave him a look. "Do I really?"
