A/N: I've had this written for a while, never posted it. So, here you go....

Jason was sitting at home when he started getting texts from a number he didn't know. There was no name, either, but it could have been that one of his friends got a new phone. He bit his lip, opening his phone. Could that be it? He didn't think so, honestly. Leo, maybe, but...He shook his head.

Unknown Number: Hey.

You don't know me, hopefully.

I know you.

Jason Grace, star quarterback and team captain at Alemans High School.

I have some news.

He bit his lip, sitting up. What was this, a prank? It had to be...He texted back, his heart pounding.

You: What is it.

Unknown Number: I'm your soul mate.

What!? Jason's heart pounded harder, faster.

Unknown Number: My watch is stopped at 00:30:00.

His mouth was dry. He had to know. Who was this kid?!

Unknown Number: I'm turning sixteen next month.

Jason felt a shiver run up his spine. This wasn't the kind of thing you prank someone with. He crossed his legs and began texting back, fingers shaking. Could it really be true?

You: Who the hell are you!?

Unknown Number: I'm not going to tell you. You have to get to know me. Then we can meet. We'll do it on your sixteenth birthday. July 1st. See you then.

The icon by the name went dark. Jason fell back onto his bed, holding his phone tight to his chest. Holy shit....holy shit. His soul mate...He found them. Well, they found him...It had to be someone he knew! He licked his lips. Who, who, who...they had to go to school with him. That narrowed it down to about three thousand. He swallowed. Most of them had his number from the time it was up on the school hate page. He huffed a little, closing his eyes. It could be anyone at school. Someone in his grade, most likely, since they were around the same age... So maybe a few hundred? That was still so many...

But a couple hundred was better than seven billion. He sat back up with trembling hands, and continued his homework. He knew that most of the answers were wrong, but he was too preoccupied to figure which ones.

Percy's phone made a soft noise as it hit the bed. He fell after it, eyes closed. He'd done it. He'd contacted Jason. Jason that was unbiased. That didn't hate him. He swallowed hard and put his arms behind his head. This was going to be a long month, wasn't it. He began falling asleep, daydreaming, and before he knew it he was snoring softly.

The following week at school, Jason was put on the morning show. He was smiling the whole time as they asked him about the football teams win the day before against their biggest rivals, Titans High. He shrugged a little, blushing slightly as the reporter said he looked good in his Letterman jacket.

Without knowing it, Percy clenched his fists. He grit his teeth, watching the show. Annabeth set a cool hand on his arm, gentle as usual. She looked concerned. He let his jaw relax, and had the decency to blush.

"She's flirting with him." He hissed, green eyes wide and worried.

"No one knows you're his mate."

He blushed hard, looking down, face burning. That wasn't fair! He looked back up. The weather. He exhaled in relief. Gods, he hated that Grace...
