Somehow I lost consciousness after I jumped. I woke up. I was dizzy and sore from pain.
"He's waking up."
"Hey guys. Looks like you all beat me here."
"Yep," Jia replied.
They all looked beaten up. I wondered what they had gone through in the cave.
"So what do we do now?" Lynn asked.
Just as she said that, the guy appeared in front of us.
"Glad to see you all survived," he said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Lynn asked.
"Uhh... moving past that, since you passed all the tests, I will take you guys home now."
"What do we tell our parents?" I asked.
"Just tell them you tripped or something," he replied.
"Uh, by the way," I started to say, "What's your name?"
"You can call me Echo," he said.
"Why Echo?" Kaylee asked.
"My parents used to call me that," Echo replied.
"Why did they-"
"Enough questions. You guys need to get home," Echo told us.
We all got onto the bus and sat down.
"That was fun," I said.
"Yeah. I'm just glad I'm going home." Maddy replied.
"Yeah me to-"
The bus span out of control. It slammed head first into a tree. I blacked out.
