Bella linked arms with her best friend Leah as the two of them walked in together.

"I think I'm gonna go dance." Leah told Bella.

"Already? We just got here." Bella said.

"I know, but I'm in the mood to dance." Leah grinned.

"Okay," Bella chuckled at her friend. "I'm gonna get a few drinks."

Bella walked towards the bar, separating from Leah, who was headed toward the dance floor. She pulled her tight dress down a bit before reaching the bar.

"Hello, Ms., what can I get for you?" the bartender asked her.

"I'm fine for now, thank you." Bella said, taking a seat on a bar stool. She propped her arm up and rested her head against it, staring out at the dance floor.

"Hey, pretty girl." a man slurred, and when Bella turned to face him, she was oddly surprised. He was old, much older than her, and he couldn't even stand up straight.

"My boyfriend's just coming back now." Bella lied, pointing to a random man making his way towards the bar.

The old man scoffed and walked away. After a few minutes, a shot glass appeared in front of Bella. She looked at the bartender questioningly, but the bartender was gesturing to another man sitting at the far corner. He also wasn't Bella's type, but she downed the shot regardless.

After not getting much action at the bar, Bella decided to change her path and head to the dance floor. She tried scoping out all the men on the floor, not finding too many she was interested in.

All she wanted tonight was to hook up with one guy. Her and Leah were bored, so they tried their hardest to look nice and come to a club. Hopefully it'd work out in Bella's favour.

As Bella was searching the floor, her eyes trailed over to the booths. Sitting at one was a group of three guys all sharing some beers. One cup was empty, so the man on the end stood up, probably to ask for a refill. Bella looked him over and her eyes widened. He must've been the most beautiful man she'd ever laid eyes on.

She started heading in his direction, however right before he reached the bar, she bumped into him.

"Woah! I'm so sorry." Bella said, stepping back to check out the man.

"Hey, it's okay." he smiled, taking Bella's arm to steady her. "Wow, you are... very beautiful." he said, his eyes not leaving her face.

"Thank you. You aren't so bad yourself." she gave a smile.

"Uh, do you want a drink?" he asked.

Bella nodded. "Thank you, that would be great." he took her to the bar, pulling out two chairs for them. He called over the bartender, ordering some drinks for them.

"Sorry, how old are you?" Bella asked.

"I'm twenty-one." he said.

"Me too!" Bella smiled, happy that she finally found someone her age. The bartender brought four shot glasses, and the man slid two over to Bella.

"Cheers." he grinned, holding the cup up. He and Bella downed it together.

"Wow, that was good." she spoke.

"One of my favourites." he nodded. "Here, let's try this." he said, sliding over the other glass.

Bella held her cup up and the two of them took the shot together.

Bella grinned, a chuckle coming out. "You alright?" the guy asked, giving a confused look.

"I'm sorry I'm laughing." Bella shook her head. "Wow, you're just so good looking. I'm sorry." she grinned, placing her hand on the back of his chair.

"Thank you." he smiled, shaking his head too. "I bet many guys tell you that you're beautiful."

Bella shrugged. "Well I think you are." he said. Bella brought herself closer, putting a hand on his perfectly shaped jaw line and leaning into him. He wasted no time, connecting the both of their lips. The kiss got deeper and deeper, both of them enjoying it too much.

"Here you go!" the bartender said, interrupting their kiss. "Per my recommendation." he smiled, sliding the two glasses closer.

"On three." Bella smiled. "1, 2...".

"3." her man said, and they drank the glass together. The both of them were so happy that they kissed again, not breaking up until they were interrupted.

"Come on! Come dance." It was Leah, tapping on the both of their shoulders. Bella took his hand, leading him to where everyone else was dancing a bit too inappropriately, and copying their moves.

"Wow, you sure are into this, babe." he said, laughing at Bella's moves.

"I'm a good dancer!" Bella insisted, continuing.

"Sure you are." he grins.

"C'mon, dance with me." she says, taking his hand and sliding it over her body. "Like this." she whispered in his ear, kissing him again.

"Mhm." he smiles, chuckling against her lips. "Hey," he says, breaking apart. "What's your number?" he asks.

Bella told him her number, which he put into his phone. She tried to make a mental note to block her phone from unknown numbers when she got home, not wanting to keep in touch with him.

"Wait, I don't even know your name." he chuckled.

"I'm going to the washroom, I'll be back." Bella told him, disappearing to the washroom. She made sure to put on extra lipstick and fix her hair before walking out.

When she returned, she found her guy on the dance floor again. The two of them danced the night away, drinking and kissing and doing what Bella thought was fun while he just kept falling more and more in love with her. In love with the nameless girl from the club.

HEY HI so this is the intro to the new story! it's gonna be in a texting format, so mostly everything after this chapter will be like that. i just had to write this chapter like this so the rest of the story would make sense.

i do not own andre burakovsky, nor do i own the washington capitols or the NHL. i am just using them for fictional purposes, as this is a work of fiction and doesn't reflect reality at all.

i do own the character of annabella warren, as she has come from my imagination.
