Your Heartbeats

Yume POV

I slowly start to open my eyes. Everything is blurry at first but soon my vision becomes clear.

Subaru is he still here?

I sit up but I don't see him. My head rushes from side to side until I get a small headache. Then I hear light breathing next to me.

I quickly turn my head and I see him laying next to him.

He must've fallen asleep.

My lips slowly turn to a smile.

He looks kinda cute when he's sleeping.

I slowly reach for his cheek and start poking it.

"Subaru? Subaru-Kun wake up..... Subaru?"

I turn over, I'm on top of him but I'm still sitting.
(A/N: Idk how to describe it)

Our faces are very close to each other.
(Author: But of course Yume doesn't question it.)

"Subaru...." This time I whisper his name. My eyes staring at his closed eye lids.

Then once again I think, He looks cute....

This time I do nothing. I just stare at him. I feel my face heat up again.

Am I getting a fever again?

Then all of a sudden he starts opening his eyes...

My heart starts beating fast...

When he sees me his eyes shoot open, and his cheeks become red. I feel my face heat up even more.

"G-Gomen!!" I quickly get off of him and look in the other direction. I feel my face heat up along with my heart beating faster.

Why is my heart beating so fast?!?!

I take a quick glance at Subaru. He's looking down.

"G-Gomenasai again...."
"I-It's okay...."
There's such an awkward silence and air between us. I'm still looking in the other direction. We didn't say anything for what felt like hours.

"Hey...do you still have a fever?"
"H-huh? Oh.....I don't know."
"Let me see."

I kinda expected him to put his head on me like last time. But instead he places the palm of his hand on my forehead.

"You don't seam to have one anymore." But instead of taking his hand off my head, he slowly moves it to my left cheek.

I first look at his hand then I look at him. I feel my face heat up again. Along with my heart beating even faster then before....... If that's even possible.

Why is my heart beating even faster?!?!? And why do I feel so nervous?!

He starts leaning towards closer to my face. He slowly closes his eyes. He gets so close to my face I soon start to feel his breath.

I stare at him with a confused and kinda shocked face. Before I know it I slowly start closing my eyes........... I start leaning towards hi-

"Yume!! Are you okay?!" I hear Laura's voice through the door.

"Huh?" I shoot my eyes open then I start losing my balance.
"Wha-wha-whaaaaa!!" I fall off my bed.

"Yume!" I see Subaru looking over my bed to see if I'm alright.

I landed on my back. I try to stand up but I don't know if I can yet. So instead I sit up.

"Yume!" I see Laura open the door with a worried look on her face. Her, Mahiru and Ako run towards me. Laura puts her hands on my shoulders with a really worried look on her face.

"H-Hey guys......"
"Are you okay!?!? Subaru used your Aikatsu mobile to text us that you were sick!"

"H-He did?"
"Yes!" I look up at Subaru with a face that says, 'Thank you.'

Then I remember Ako! I look around for her, scared that she might hurt me that Subaru has been with me alone this whole time.

But when I look at her she's not even blushing. She always blushes just by mentioning his name. Instead she's looking at me looks really worried...... And with a tiny bit of pain in her face.

"Have you tried to stand yet?"
"No."
"Well then we'll help you."

All 3 of them help me stand up. My legs still feel a bit wobbly but, I think I can stand up without help.

"Can you stand up?"
"Yeah I think so.."
"Good." Then when Mahiru notices Subaru she starts smirking. The same exact smirk like the one at the beach yesterday.

"Hey Yume?"
"Hm?"
"How about we all get you some food?"
"O-oh no I-I'm not hungry." Just then all of a sudden my stomach starts growling.
(A/N: I FORGOT THE WHAT WORD IT WAS!!)

"Really."
"I just don't want y'all to go through all the trouble."
"It's nothing Yume. Come on guys." All three of them walk out. Leaving me alone with Subaru once again.

He starts climbing down my bed. When he reaches the floor he asks me, "Why didn't you want them to get you food? You haven't eaten all day."

"I don't know. All day people have been taking care of me. And I guess......I don't know....."
"You're sick of people caring for you?" "I guess. But..... I'm not that hungry for some reason. But yeah. I think that's mostly it."

He walks closer to me. "But the reason they take care of you when you're hurting is because they care about you. They offered to help you cause they want to."

"Is that why you came to take care of me.... Cause... You c-care about me?"
"W-Well...um...y-yeah." He looks of to the side. His cheeks are...tinted pink?
But when he said that I felt my face heat up.

I look to the ground but I have a small smile. "Thank you."
"H-huh?" I look up at him with the same smile.

"Thank you Subaru-Kun." He looks at me with a shocked face, but then smiles back at me. Then he walks up to me and places his hand on my head.
"No problem."

After that we don't say anything else. We just stare at each other. Then out of nowhere he just hugs me. I feel my heart beat faster.

"I'm just happy that you're feeling better." He whispers in my ear. I wrap my arms around him.
"Thank you for worrying about me." "It was nothing."

He pulls away then places his hands on my shoulders. He's smiling at me.

"I hope you feel better soon.....Yume-Chan." I felt my face heat up the second he said my name.

"Well then it's getting late. I better head back to my dorm."
"Y-yeah." I say. My voice oddly nervous, quiet, and squeaky.  

He takes his hands off my shoulders and walks to the door.
"Bye Yume-Chan."
"Bye Subaru-Kun."

When he left my dorm, I felt a little weird. I felt less nervous.

But there's one thing I don't get.....

What was he trying to do before Laura knocked on the door?

1094 words. Totally wasn't fangirling when writing this.-looks to the side looking guilty- Anyway I wanted to post the chapter today. I just couldn't wait for the weekend. Anyway I hope y'all liked this weeks chapter. If you did pls comment and vote. Why do I sound like a youtuber?!?
