The bell rang, signifying recess.
Everyone exited the classroom in pairs or groups, leaving only 3 people left.

3rd Person's POV

Avery couldn't wait to eat, excited as she tried to pry Summer out of her seat. "Summer, let's go!" Avery tugged at her arm harshly as a few audible bone cracking noises were heard.

"Oh my g-" Summer pulled her arm back and massaged it. "Hehe, sorry. Hey~ let's go!" Avery whined and stomped her feet impatiently. Summer remained silent, scrolling through her Instagram with an unimpressed look.

A tall figure appeared, blocking the light.
"Hey girls, shall we go now? Order anything. My treat."

Summer looked up in awe, searching for the face of this beautiful deep voice. Roy had his hands in his pockets, smiling softly. 'He indeed looks like a Prince. I can a already imagine him in a gorgeous suit, then I would be walking down the aisle in a magnificent killer white gown with dad, then he would be smiling at me like this from afar and-'

"Wait, what?" Summer's face heated up at the thought. "Yes Summer?" he shifted his gaze to her. "Oh sorry, I wasn't-" Summer blushed a deep crimson when her eyes locked with Roy's hazel orbs.

'I wish this moment would last forever.' she wished.

Avery quietly admired the view, 'My otp back at it.'

The moment just wouldn't last because unfortunately, Heize ran inside the classroom. "Roy! Roy!" she shrieked, obviously seeking for attention. Roy broke the gaze first. "What?" he said.

"Let's go~" In a flash of lightning, Heize linked arms with him and dragged him far away, who knows where.

Avery's POV

Summer and I were left alone. After a long moment of awkward silence, I went to Summer and hugged her, trying to sooth her hurting heart. Summer doesn't need to cry an ocean for me to know that she's upset, I could just somehow sense my friend's pain. I automatically knew that what Summer needed was a hug.

"It's okay. I got your back." I raked my hands through her silky hair, that's what calms her down.

"Thanks, Avery."

In the Hallway
Summer went to the toilet to freshen up while I went to look for Laura to inform her about the situation. To me, this is getting serious. I will not let her suffer again. Not when she has me.

"HEY AVERY!" Laura ran to me with her arms wide open. She attacked me into a tiny bearhug. Did I mention Laura's height only reaches to my shoulder?

"Ay, Laura." I patted her soft mauve hair, plaited into two french braids. She looked up to me and smiled. "Laura, I need to tell you something....." I pursed my lips, thinking of a way to start the conversation.

"Hmm?"

I heaved a sigh and went straight to the point instead, "What do you think about Heize?"

"Heize?"

"Yeah." I couldn't seem to open up my thoughts.

"Don't worry, Avery, I know where this is going. It's bout Summer, my bro and her ain't it?"

Summer, Laura and I went to the cafeteria and ate breakfast together. After that, Summer went up to class to "chill". Poor girl, I'm sure she'll be pretending to be fine with us then broken the second she's alone.

At the student's lounge
"So, Summer has been through the exact same situation?" Laura leaned back at the holographic beanbag, placing her cup of caramel macchiato on the glass table adjacent to her.

"Yes. And we have to prevent this from replaying the past." I just want Heize to disappear. Or even, why did Summer have to fall for him?

"So, are we gonna make a plan?" Laura took out her diamond encrusted Apple pen and iPad, attempting to write down any points.
