it took him that long,

that long to finally look away from him.

mingyu watched as the guy walked closer to the waitress, bending down to pick up the broken pieces on the floor. he watched as the waitress blushed furiously at the presence of the gorgeous man.

the stranger was too attractive.

how mesmerizing.

he chuckled as he watched the stranger grinned at the waitress' clumsy actions.

mingyu's gaze never left the man as the man then walked to the cashier and ordered a drink. and as the man stood there waiting for his drink, mingyu took this opportunity to examine him properly.

the man had the most perfect eyebrows, and the most beautiful eyes ever. from his gorgeous smile to his tapping of fingers, there was no sign of flaw found in him.

not to mention his perfectly- made clothing; a normal white shirt and ripped jeans.

it was the most simplest clothing, but the man had pulled it off marvellously. the way he wore it had made the clothing seem like it was worth a diamond.

he was like those models you could find modelling for gucci, but of a higher standard.

he was ethereal.

the only time mingyu had looked away was when the man had picked up the drink and turned to mingyu's direction, seemingly finding for a seat (even though mingyu had hoped that it was because of other reasons).

he quickly pretended to be sipping on his peppermint mocha, which had gone terribly cold.

"yuck.." he grimaced as he forcefully swallowed the sip, pushing the cup away from him.

he then looked up again, and noticed that the stranger had walked to the corner of the cafe, which was the opposite direction of mingyu.

he then watched as the stranger sat down, taking out a book from his backpack.

"he must really love books..." he unknowingly whispered, surprised.

it was rare actually, to see someone reading a book in a cafe. no matter where mingyu was, the one thing he would distinctively notice about people is that they were always using their phones. he had never see someone who reads books in public,

and that made him even more mysterious, to mingyu's liking.

"it would be wonderful if i get to watch this kind of pleasant sight everyday." he muttered to himself, before chuckling.

he then thought of an idea. he picked up his camera and positioned it towards the stranger, who had no idea how much attention he was getting from the customer.

he clicked on the shutter button.

click!

he looked at the picture that he just took. he smiled as the picture depicts the stranger concentrating on the book. he was furrowing his eyebrows.

it was a beautiful picture.

mingyu then continued to take picture of the oblivious stranger. he didn't try to take from different positions or angles like before. all he did was to press on the shutter button the moment there was a change of emotions on the stranger's face.

mingyu was amazed, honestly speaking. he didn't get how the stranger could display such perfect emotions on his face, to the point that he didn't have to take the picture twice of the man.

he was too striking for mingyu's own good, from his perfectly messed-up hair to his cute black converse shoes.

he was a masterpiece... and an oddly familiar one too.

mingyu continued to take pictures as the stranger sipped on his coffee, reading the book.

the book... mingyu wondered about the content inside. was it a sad novel? a happy one? a mystery book? or perhaps a thriller?

he was dying to figure out what the man was reading that could have made him display these emotions.

at that moment, the stranger suddenly stood up.

mingyu quickly put down his camera and pretended to be engrossed in the pictures he just tookㅡ which he was, actually; he was just trying to make himself look like he wasn't noticing the godly figure who had just walked past him.

he looked disappointingly as the man bowed down to the waitress and walked out of the door. what a shame, if only he had more time with the stranger..

putting down his camera, he picked up his phone from the table.

"oh my god." he gasped as he looked at the time.

it was 5:00pm, which meant that he had been here for 9 hours.

9. long. hours.

it had been a while since he was like that, unknowingly (and somehow willingly) taking out ½ of the time from his hectic schedule to focus on a complete stranger.

he then noticed the amount of calls and messages he was getting from his colleagues. raising an eyebrow at the surprisingly huge amount of notifications he was getting, he quickly called one of his close workers in work, woozi.

"woozi 형! why areㅡ"

"where have you been?! we have been searching for you all day! do you know how hard it was for us to have a photoshoot contract with miranda kerr?!"

"holy crap, i- sorry 형! i was quite occupied today.. that i completely lost track of the time."

"i didn't expect this kind of behaviour from you, mingyu-ya. now tell me, what possibly could have made you so busy to the point that you can forget about this important photoshoot, which you had been rambling on excitedly for months?"

"i- i caught sight of an angel, 형... an angel."
