you chased me first.
you were the one who persisted,
insisted that there would be 'us' in the future.
despite everything,
you still stood by me.
like a fool waiting,
even if there would be nothing in return.
you said that that we would fall in love,
and nothing would stop our way.
i didn't believe it at that time.
i really didn't.

i soon enjoyed your presence as time goes by.
if you weren't blinded by your love for me, perhaps you might have noticed the frequent glances. the times when you would starve yourself, and  i would then push my food towards you, claiming i wasn't hungry just so you could eat. the times when i would purposely wait for you to end your class so you could walk home with me. the times when i would pull you away from those "friends" of yours. the times when i protected you against the world.

and now? it might seemed like nothing has changed. but trust me. a lot had. because now,
you left my world,
leaving these crumbs of memories behind for me to pick up.
and you weren't going to look back.
because you've forgotten.

forgotten about the love we once had.

but remember? you were the one who convinced me about us. you were the one who followed me through our school days. your words and actions was all i could think about.
but why,
but why am i the one hurting instead?
why am i the one being left behind?
