The Persuasion
Erik's POV
I woke up sweating bullets and panting like a someone who just ran a marathon. I looked around and found out that I slept on the couch last night.
I sighed 'It was all a dream' but the relief of that idea quickly changed into an aching pain on my back.
Sleeping on the couch probably wasn't the greatest idea ever but I brushed the idea off as I smelled pancakes.
I walked towards the kitchen and a smile played on my lips as I saw the image in front of me.
Belle was humming a tune while making pancakes and she looked absolutely ravishing with the apron saying 'kiss the cook'
I slowly sneaked towards her and leaned, my lips almost touching her ear.
"Do I smell pancakes my dear?" I whispered into her ear. She jolted up and shreiked.
I laughed wholeheartedly while her face turned red with embarrassment.
"Good morning to you too" I could tell there was a hint of irritation to her voice.
She was easily angered but her temper also dies down quickly.
"Are you mad at me?" I spoke with fake concern to my voice.
Her eyes widened and she quickly replied "O-of course not!"
I smiled at her and she gave me a quizzical look. Belle is slow at jokes and her humor isn't even funny but I still love her.
"I was just kidding.... Isabelle"
I winked at the last part.
She glared at me with all she had.
Belle was angry now.
She absolutely HATED being called Isabelle.
It reminded her of her exboyfriend when her name was still Isabelle, she changed a part of her name a because she wanted to keep a little of 'herself'
"I guess someone won't be eating my pancakes today"
My face was filled with horror but I knew how to change her mind.
"I'm sorry Belle, you know I was just kidding around" I hugged her waist from behind.
"I don't like it when you take me as a fool" She wasn't backing down, but neither would I.
"I-i thought you loved me Belle..."
She raised her eyebrows with suspicion.
"but if just a name can pull us apart then-" I closed my eyes for more dramtic effect.
"Then maybe we should just let this go..." I glanced at her direction to check if she bought it.
Belle left the pancake making on pause then she hugged me.
"Of course I love you! Don't you ever say that again...."
I smirked and pecked her on the cheeks.
"I love you too"
"Can I eat some pancakes now?" I added.
Her face lit up and soon she served a stack of steaming hot pancakes on the dinner table.
I dug in and took a bite of the syrupy hotcakes and sighed with content.
Belle noticed my reaction and smiled sweetly at me.
"She looks so happy, I couldn't imagine what I would feel if the reason she would cry is me" My heart sank when that thought crossed my mind.
Belle noticed my change of mood and asked
"What's wrong dear?"
I quickly looked at her and plastered on a forced smile to not worry her
"N-nothings wrong... everything is fine!"
She smiled back and placed her attention to the food in front of her.
"Phew!" relief was clearly evident in that thought.
"Why am I thinking about that dream again?"
I simply shrugged it off because it was probably just nothing anyway....
