The Prophet's P.O.V
There is a great suffering in my chest I think it's Jade she is being tortured both mentally and physically. I clench my jacket tightly to manage the pure agony being affected on her. My eyes clamp shut pearls of water slide out from under the lids over them.
The Deviant steps into the shelter, "Prophet I can feel your distress." he speaks.
"Can you feel it Deviant? The Seraphim is being tormented by both guilt and abuse, under the evil priests. I'm experiencing a mere taste of what she feels." I explain cracking my eyes open slightly, "No, I can't feel what is happening to Jade." My Deviant friend sighs.
"Be glad dear friend for it's the worst pain anyone can have applied to them," I state sitting down to stabilize myself, Deviant steps over to me helping me settle.
"We must get Qaphsiel out of that dreadful prison." I hopelessly declare, "The five of us will get her out, you must be patient because being mad makes you stupid." The Deviant responds.
"You're right if you were surviving what Jade was Deviant. Maybe you would understand why it's urgent." I sigh, "I wish to feel as you or The Mourner do but I can't." My lieutenant shakes his head.
"Let's keep gathering resources and soldiers to help fight the war to come. Every soul will be needed." My right hand suggests, "Yeah let's go do that." I agree standing up to follow him.
"Alright." Deviant approves, the two of us go out and continue our work.
Me and The Deviant head out towards the courtyard to assist with any work that needs to be done. On our way, I notice that The Mourner is staring off into a void. I tread over to him softly not to scare my friend, laying a gentle hand on his shoulder.
The action snaps The Mourner out of it, "Are you okay?" I ask.
"The Seraphim is being punished for a wrong. Something is wrong with her angelic soul almost as if it's being skinned alive. But there is no way to do that is there?" My adviser questions, "I don't know dear friend, that is what scares me the most." I answer honestly.
"I strongly recommend making haste on the preparations for the war." The confidant states, "I agree, I don't think Jade will last much longer if what we think is true." I speak with fear glazing my words.
"Be careful Prophet, if I can sense your fear so can he." The Mourner warns, "I have grown to care about Qaphsiel deeper than any divine should." I confess slightly horrified how he will react.
"I know you do ever since the day she died and came back." My fellow mystical confirms, "Luckily the other members can't feel others emotions for it would make it hard to follow a leader without question." he finishes.
"I'm not judging you I'm just warning before you do something drastic." The Mourner corrects, "I know you're not friend thank you for listening. I needed to get that off my chest so I can focus." I nod.
"I listen that's kind of what I do. I help people just as my name suggests." The Mourner laughs slightly, "I haven't thought about it that way." I chuckle in agreement.
"Can you scope out the base for us, the remaining four of us can do the rest." My friend requests, "I will thank you again." I accept leaving him to gather a small bag of things.
