Shuffling sounds echo around the tight metal room, "Hello?" a girl's voice asks.
Forcing my eyelids open I look around the dark space, "Whos there?" Ezekiel questions.
Laying in the Black's warm arms, he nestles my torso keeping it at an angle that won't let the spear of wood touch the floor.
"No one." The lady's voice continues, "Let me see your face." Zek demands.
A dark figure steps into a dim spot, letting the weak light shine upon their face.
It's Eve, "Eve." I whimper, a sharp pain surges through me making me grab onto the rob in my side.
"Who are you?" The daughter states, "It's Jade." I tell taking a strained gasp.
"You said you would find me." The only girl Black says, letting her guard down she rushes over to me seeing the spike sticking out of my body.
Placing a hand gingerly onto the wound Ms. Eve wraps her palm around it, "Don't take it out...- It. Has... To. Stay in. The wood is splintering. Taking it out would make it worse." I explain my breathing getting heavier.
"If it remains your body can't heal, wood molds and then it'll get infected." Eve states, "I'll have to be fast and have something to plug the hole with." she sighs looking around.
The only daughter takes her long nails, and stabs into my navy cami, making a hole and allowing her to tear it. I watch as she rips it around the cami pulling it off but being careful not to disturb the spear through me. Looking into the Black's eyes she starts to yank the two inch thick timber shaft out, I scream so long my throat goes numb.
"You're killing her!" Mr. Ezek yells starting to cry, "Would you rather it be slow and agonizing?!" the wild girl replies.
My eyes stick to the Black's hands as she keeps a quick pace of removal, the blood soaked oak cylinder emerges from within me. Rolling my orbs away, I black out, the screams of anguish fading into a long pause. A suction noise is all I hear, before going limp as jello, some voices call to me only nothing comes out of my mouth.
-Hours later-
I open my eyes to see two sets staring back at me, "Good your not dead." Eve says sighing in relief.
"Woman." I growl weakly, laughing some.
Eve you need to learn people skills not just say to someone 'Glad your not dead' it won't get you far in life. Looking down towards my torso, I see that her hand on top of the cami and is pressing down. Ezek's arms are still wrapped around me, tilting my head back I look at him.
"How long was I out?" I question, "A couple hours maybe, it's dark in here with no light really so I don't know." Ezekiel answers.
I try to stand up only my legs aren't moving, "I can't feel my legs." I panic.
"What?" Zek says, reaching down and touching my good knee.
I know my friend's hand is there, but no sensation comes from it.
"They are like ice." The Prophet tells me, "I'm so tired." I sigh.
