A/N: I managed to finish it before midnight!
The Prophet's P.O.V
Wondering around, I notice something limping toward me in the shadows. Jade's weak form falls to the hard floor but continues to crawl desperately. I run over, wrapping my arms around her uneasy body. Scooping the angel up, I carry her bridal style out of this forsaken place. The light beams down onto the both of us, lifting the darkness. I still need to get Qaphsiel's soul before we all go.
"Deviant!" I call, my old friend comes rushing switches places with me and taking the Seraphim from my arms.
"Keep her here for a moment I will get back Jade's soul." I order running back in to find it, upon getting to the room.
I pick the orb up in both hands, jogging out of this controlling place. Getting back to my people I bring the soul to The Mourner, he will know what to do with it. More like how to put it back inside of the angel without it killing her. The crowd and I return home safely not losing anyone all will be well. Taking her into the main hut, Deviant places her gingerly onto the stone bed.
The Mourner enters with possession of Qaphsiel's very being, her soul. Walking swiftly over to us, he places it into a wooden bowl for safe keeping soon turning to face me.
"I don't think we can put that thing back into her." My friend says looking to the container, "Want to know what Jade's soul felt like when I touched it?" he quizzes.
"Like it had been skinned alive, I can't and will not put it back into her otherwise she'll die." The Divine speaks sadly, "We have to, if we don't she won't be herself only a shell." I try to explain holding my personal feelings back.
"Maybe I could put a wall up before placing it back. As long as Jade doesn't scratch at the shield, it won't break and keep her from going mad." My adviser requests, "Whatever you must do to put the soul back." I agree.
Suddenly I get forced to the ground, looking at the attacker it's Jade. The windows of the world are foggy with black smoke. The once silver of them hiding behind a storm cloud. Those demons did break her, I push the attacker off, sending them backward. The angel stands back up tree root-like veins lead up into her eyes.
"Atropos died because you weren't there to help her, I was trapped, and all you did Prophet was watch!" Jade screams at me, tears falling down her face.
"That isn't true. I didn't know Atro was dead until I found her body in the desert. Disregarded merely as trash nothing more than a piece of flesh." I confess, "Oh come on we both know you felt it happen and did not stop it." The broken teen growls.
I know it's not the real Qaph but it still stings inside my heart.
"It took you over a month to find me, do you know what those sons of bitches did to me!? Do you?!" The teen starts to sob, "I'm so sorry." I mumble my voice barely a whisper.
The young girl attacks me again punching and scratching my body up. My back on the ground I cover the most important part of the body, the head. The Mourner stands behind the attacker touching her head once making them faint. He picks her back up placing them back onto the table, only tying up their feet and hands. I look to my friend without speaking I know he has to put the soul back now or never.
