"So, I just want you to find her and Heesung, and make sure that they are safe. I know for a fact that request is well within your capabilities, so do not bother lying about it to me," I rolled my eyes at the man walking down the hall beside me.
"Well, you are kinda like the guy in charge around here now," Yoongi laughed, but turned serious upon seeing my unamused expression. "I'll see what I can do,"
"Do it fast," I said impatiently. I stood and watched him enter his apartment block. That was what made me curious. He didn't need to go into his apartment block, even though he owned several, he also owned estates that were much nicer than this one room. I eyed the door that he went through suspiciously, and he soon came out again, his back first. He was blatantly conversing with someone else.
As he saw me approach, he swiftly shoved the person back inside and slammed the door hurriedly. I saw a flash of hair as he closed it. "Who was that?" I asked quietly.
"I haven't a clue what you mean," Yoongi grinned not so convincingly.
"I am insinuating that you are hiding someone from a different territory in Higher. And, as you of all people are aware, that is illegal,"
"Don't be a hypocrite now Namjoon,"
I puffed and stared at him dead in the eyes. He looked back without flinching, and I thought of every way I could hurt him so that he would never even dare to do that again. However, before I got my justice, I could hear muffles behind the door. I did not even need to lean up against the door to hear what they were saying.
"Yah, Yoongi! What the hell was that? She's hurt you know, you can't just push her over like that. Yoongi!" A woman's voice hissed. Yoongi banged his fist on the door, and tilted his head to one side with a smile.
"Oh, you cannot even try to deny this anymore," I shook my head.
"Oh, I can try," He challenged, but my hand was already on the door handle.
I pushed down on it and swung it open. I stepped to one side as the woman who was talking fell forward onto the floor. She was still mumbling curses under her breath as she lugged herself up. She looked at me and froze, her mouth slightly agape. I frowned between Yoongi and her. This didn't fit.
"What's going on, Chae? Can he help me or not?" A woozy voice came from within the apartment. Yoongi stood awkwardly in front of me, blocking my vision. I shoved him over. "Namjoon, don't," He warned me, and I completely ignored him.
I turned the corner and there she was. It was a dishevelled looking Heera, hair all messy, her face frowny, and her eyes half-closed. I stood there, just inhaling and exhaling for a few short moments. I contemplated on leaving right then and there, pretending to have seen nothing, but how could I?
"Inside," I said to the two beside me, "Right now, Yoongi," I hissed and they both obeyed. I shut the door behind us softly and double-checked that the hallway was empty. I kept my distance from Heera, she was obviously weak, and the last thing I wanted to do was overwhelm her. But I just wanted to hug her so badly.
"You recognise her... right?" Yoongi asked me.
I blinked and looked at her, "Of course I do," I breathed, watching as the woman led Heera to the sofa and lay her down there. "But how did she get here? And why is she with you?" I questioned everything in my mind, but only those two materialised into words, along with two more, "Is she okay? Is Heesung?"
"Stop asking me all these fucking questions! Literally, all I know is that she's been injected with Vitarum, so, I was going to get Seokjin to snatch some of the cure for us, but, guess what, he's gone fucking rogue! He's nowhere around," Yoongi blabbered, flailing his arms around unnecessarily.
"Calm it Yoongi," I snapped his arms down to his sides for him, and he puffed, ruffling his hair and turning away from me. I did the same, and focused my attention on Heera. I walked over to the sofa and crouched in front of it, and her. She was pale.
"Um, we've never met before, but I know that you're Kim Namjoon," The woman sat on the edge of the sofa announced. "I'm Jung Chaeyoung,"
My eyes widened slightly at the surname, and I matched up the facial features. I could picture the whole family together, her, Hoseok, and their parents, before they died. So she was the sister of Under's leader. "Hello," I said awkwardly.
"I'm Heera's best friend. I don't know if you knew this, but she has a picture of you three together in her room. That's the only way I found out your name. I was curious and asked," She smiled.
I ignored her for the most part, but was touched that a picture of us as a family remained. I reached out and touched Heera's forehead gently. She was running a fever, but I knew that it should not last for long.
"Oh, before I forget, I have a photo of Heesung with me, well, Heera had it and--,"
I cut her off by outstretching my hand, and gesturing for her to give it over. She complied and I studied the photograph. He was so handsome and cute. I clutched it and saw just how happy he looked, and just how wide his toothy smile was. I could not wait to see him in person.
Yoongi was still pacing frantically, and Chaeyoung excused herself to sort him out.
"Namjoon?" Heera called out quietly. "I must be really ill to hallucinate you here,"
"Except it really is me," I smiled at her silliness.
"Yeah right. You keep on telling yourself that," She giggled and tossed over to her other side. I laughed and brushed part of her hair out of her face, and then kissed her cheek before standing up. "She will be fine,"
"How d'you know?" Yoongi half-yelled, but I decided to let it go.
"You think I do not know what is being injected to people?" I scoffed.
"Why would you?" Chaeyoung frowned.
"Cause I care, alright!" My language slipping from its usual political form. They did not seem to have a clever retort to that one. I knew because I had the formulas. The latest batch was created as a scare tactic, and would never seriously harm. The fever would drop within a few hours.
"Who brought her here?" I asked.
Each pointed at the other and I laughed. I strode up to them and hooked my arms around them. I hugged them tightly, and they looked completely confused. "Whichever one of you it was, thank you. Thank you so much for bringing her back to me,"
