Chapter 16: News

"I'm Happy your here." I said softly. "But if your hoping for something romantic......Its not going to happen."

Nahuel sighed and grinned. "I'm actually here for an important occassion in my life."

"What?"

"Well, while I was away I met someone." For some strange reason, my heart quickened and faultered. I took a deep breath.

"You okay?" He asked.

I nodded quickly." Groovy, continue."

"Well, I met my mate." He blurted out excitedly and his face cracked into a happy daze - like smile. It was the same smile he used to give me when we were together.  My heart sank for some odd reason and I grabbed on to a tree trunk for support.

"Wow!" I breathed.

"And theres something else." He said, waiting to announce his important news with anticipation.

I waved my hand, gesturing for him to go on.

"Well, we're getting married." That daze - like smile flashed across his face again and I felt nausea through my whole body. However, I couldn't understand why.

He saw my expression and frowned. "Are you sure your okay?" I nodded and he shook his head and looked toward the green trees. "Maybe I shouldn't have told you."

"NO!" I literally shouted. I didn't want to ruin Nahuel's excitement, but I couldn't help but feel hurt that he'd move on so fast. It'd only been two weeks since the attack with Elizabeth happened and he was already planning his eternity with someone else. "Nahuel, I'm happy you've found someone to spend your life with."

He snapped back into his giddiness. "I want to tie myself to her in every humanly way possible."

Those were the exact same words he'd said to me when he had asked me to marry him. I felt sick. Yes this was definetly nausea.

"She's coming to visit this Friday."

OH GOD. I forced a smile.

"Can't wait to meet her." I mumbled.

Suddenly, a long, impatient howl rumbled the woods.

"That must be Joseph." I sighed. "Another werewolf."

I turned my back to him, thanking the heavens for Joseph's howl. I was in no condition to meet Nahuel's new mate. However, I didn't want him to think I was jealous either. I wasn't jealous. I wasn't Jealous. I didn't even know how the girl looked. She could look like a toad for all I know.

When I reached Joseph. he was in the meadow finishing up his meal. A giant mountain lion that looked like a tiny cat compared to Joseph's wolf size.

I sat cross legged next to him and rested my head on a fern bush. The next thing I knew, I had dozed off.

I was in a coral reef, swimming in the shallow water with hundreds of beautiful sea animals. And suddenly cool pale hands were holding me down. I struggled to push myself up above the water, but the grip on me was too strong.

I looked up to see a beautiful girl with reddish - blonde ringlets and smooth pale skin holding me down. She smiled brightly as my struggles became weak and I fell to reef floor. My vision was blurry all I could see was the sea creatures coming to me. Coming to comfort me in my final moments.

And then I heard the muffled voice of Jacob screaming and howling. His hand reaching out to grab me, but his hand wouldn't go through the water.

To my right, I saw them.

Nahuel and the Girl who'd drowned me.

They were standing beneath a flower arch with wedding rings at the top. Nahuel slid a gold ring onto her wedding finger and she smiled triupmhantly. He was officially hers. They were married. After she had killed me to have him all to herself.

I wanted to come up. Come up and tell Jacob I'd be fine.

However, more importantly, I wanted to rip her head off.

Yes Guys, I'm back. Moving to a new city and house had delayed me from writing, but I'm definetly going to spend more time working on my stories now. So Enjoy!
