The New Girl

Chapter 30

Third POV

Today was one of Sayuri's surgeries. Both the Uchiha and Izumo families waited in the waiting room as the surgery took place.

Sayuri still doesn't know about Sasuke's actions when she was in the hospital not too long ago. No one has told her.

Whenever she would ask why he was so skinny he would change the subject immediately.

He has eaten more, but he's still not how he used to be. His nice tone body was weaker than before but he's recuperating from it.

They waited and waited some more patient than others. It felt like days had past when the Doctor finally came out.

Sayuri's mother jolted from her seat the second her eyes made contact with the doctor.

"Doctor how's my daughter?" She asked desperately wanting to know if it was a success or not.

"We still don't know if the surgery was a success. Not until tomorrow. So please be patient." He said looking at everyone present for understanding.

When he received a couple responses he bowed and left the waiting room.

It's now Saturday. Graduation isn't until next month which is June.

Not many of Sayuri's friends trusted Karin but they have learned to accept her into the group for the sake of Sayuri.

Next day

It was finally the day when they get the bandages off Sayuri to see if the surgery was a success or a failure.

Sayuri's family and the two Uchiha sibling were in front of Sayuri waiting for the doctor to start getting the bandages around her head off.

The young girl was sitting at the edge of the bed waiting patiently just like everybody else.

"Ok I'm going to start now." Informed the doctor.

Sayuri nodded her head telling him she was ready.

Very slowly the doctor took off the bandages.

Everything went in slow motion as the last layer of cloth was uncovered to when she opened her eyes.

"Well?" Asked her mother anxiously.

The room was silent for what felt like an eternity for everyone in the room waiting to hear a response from her.

She smiled.

"I can see."

Graduation day

Sayuri's POV

I became the full manager of Konoha's bakery shop. I also found out why Mr. Shin would always treat me better then the other workers. It's because I reminded him of his daughter when she was young.

I even got to meet her and her baby. She's very beautiful and nice.

"Sayuri Izumo." I heard my name being called.

As you may know Sasuke is valedictorian. Just like everyone had predicted. I don't know anyone else that deserves that place better than he does.

I couldn't get that position since I was gone for more than 2 months so I missed a lot of assignments that I barely got done on time.

I walked up and got my papers smiling as my parents took pictures of me.

The day I got out of the hospital I was able to see the daughter of Hiro and Kaori. She's a very beautiful and healthy baby. When I found out I was her godmother I was and still am very happy.
