Sasuke's POV

This night turned out better then I thought.

I finally admitted I liked Sayuri and she likes me too. That's what it seems at least.

I hope so

We were at a table with everyone else. Sayuri insisted since she actually came with Naruto and she didn't want to leave him alone.

I should probably thank him later to. If it wasn't for him Sayuri wouldn't have come and I wouldn't have realized my true feelings for her.

I'm stuck with letting him drive her home as well.

Their chatting was interrupted by Sayuri's phone ringing. She didn't look happy when she checked her phone for the called ID.

"Excuse me I have to take this." I looked at her worriedly.

"Ok Sayu don't go too far!" Yelled Naruto keeping an eye on her.

I stood up as well and followed her.

She didn't pay attention to what Naruto told her because she went outside. A place where Naruto can't keep an eye on her. I turned back and signaled him that I'd keep an eye on her. He sat back down slowly still looking at where he had last seen Sayuri.

"...he always is." I heard her say.

I stayed back far enough so that she wouldn't notice me and close enough so I could hear what she was saying.

"He can't leave his job alone for one damn second just to say some simple words! Missing your anniversary, and Emi and Yuri's graduation is one thing, but not having the time to say 'Happy thanksgiving' is a whole different thing." Her whole personality changed. She was more angry and bitter.

"When was the last time he showed me he loved me mom?!"

What is she talking about?!

Is she cheating on me already?!

Am I her second choice?!

Is she playing with me?!

I felt anger boil inside of me.

"When I was 10 mom! That was the fucking last time he ever showed any of us that he truly loves us! That was 8 years ago!"

Wait it can't be another guy. She's talking about 8 years ago.

"You know what mom I don't want to ruin this holiday for you. Tell everyone I said hi. I love you mom." She said after some time.

"Yes, bye. I'll see you when summer comes."

"Love you take care." She hung up taking a deep breath. That's when I made myself noticeable.

"Who were you talking about?" She tensed but then relaxed when she saw it was just me.

"My father." She was now at arms length.

"You don't like him that much do you?" She rolled her eyes.

"No I don't." Whenever anyone mentions her dad her expression changes from friendly to hostile.

"Can I know why." She looked me in the eye.

"Yes but not now. I don't want today to get ruined just because of him." I nodded slowly.

I looked at her. She was absolutely beautiful. Even without makeup on her, and the glasses she wore. She wasn't wearing them today though.

"Have I told you how beautiful you look today?" Her cheeks turned a small shade of pink.

"No you haven't, and you Sasuke Uchiha look as handsome as ever." I smirked at her comment.
