I wake up to the smell of bacon wafting underneath the door frame. After rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I sit up in an unfamiliar bed and look around.
The room is very plain with no décor and white walls. There were clothes askew on the ground as well as a bucket of shoes beside an open closet. A wooden dresser sat directly before the bed with multiple cans of deodorant spray and a T.V. I glance to my right and see a big window with sunlight pouring through the blinds as the bedroom door opens to my left.
"Oh, you're awake," Harry says.
I turn to him and nod, as he scratches the back of his neck. "Am I at your house?"
"Yeah, do you remember last night at all?" He asks, his voice sharp.
I look to my hands, of course I remembered, but I don't want to talk about it. "I do."
Harry lets out a sigh before handing me a glass of water and some Advil. "Take these, you probably have a headache."
I mutter a thank you and take the medicine. "I'm sorry about yesterday, I don't know why I even went-"
Harry shakes his head as he interrupts me by saying, "you don't need to explain right now. I just thought you weren't that type of person to go out partying all night, it definitely puts a strain on our relationship. I just can't put Elli around-"
"Relationship?" I interrupt him this time.
Harry's face turns slightly pink as he looks away in embarrassment. "Well, I just assumed, we've already talked about this, and I thought. . ." He pauses and looks back at me in an intense stare. "Look, I want to be in an official relationship with you, but I'm a package deal with Elli. I can't have her around somebody who drinks for fun and calls me in the middle of the night-"
My eyes widen as I shake my head quickly. "I don't go partying! That was the first one I'd been to in years, and the only reason I went was because Darcy begged me too, I hate that sort of environment." I stutter; I didn't know what to say that would get him to believe me, let alone trust me again. "I won't go to another one again. I'm sorry I made you worry, and made you pick me up, and for everything."
"I forgive you, but it doesn't make what you've done okay. Let's move past this and eat some breakfast, yeah?" Harry offers.
I nod my head and we go into his kitchen to eat. It was mostly burnt pancakes, eggs, and bacon, but the effort from Harry was there. As Harry got ready for work, I got Elli dressed for the day and helped pack her toy bag to go over to Louis's. Once we were finished, Harry dropped me off at my apartment complex with a kiss on the cheek.
Even though he said we'd move past this, I had a bad feeling it'd come up later.
