The big realization

I'm in a wet room. That's all I know. I'm handcuffed against a wall. A bit of a turn off if you ask me. But I was absolutely terrified. My heart was practically beating out of my chest. I needed to get out. How. How am I supposed to leave this place? I didn't know what to do. I then heard a voice. "Take that mask off of her" it said "it's probably suffocating her". "Who are you!" I yell. "Do you really want to know" the voice asks. The mask then goes flying off to reveal. Me. I'm right there. It seems like a more cynical version of me. But it's me. How can I escape me. "Don't you remember the note" the man said. "This is all in your head. Think of a way out". It sounded stupid but I thought I'd having near god-like powers. I didn't know what would happen. But then something incredible happened. Both chains snapped off without ease. I started levitating into the air. I heard the man get really excited. I was basically a good now. But instead of staying here. Doing what I need to do. I wanted to go home. I just wanted to leave.
