Chapter 2: The new Creature

Hiccup's POV

The creature tilts its head as it stares at me, looking straight into my eyes. It takes a slow step towards me, as if not to scare me away. It makes a gurgling sound, almost like Toothless but more bird-like. Toothless growls slightly and steps in front of me.

Reader's POV

I back away slightly as the dragon steps in front of the young human. "Don't come closer!" The dragon says protectively. I tilt my head slightly then sit down, showing that I won't move or attack. The dragon stops growling and looks at me slightly confused. "I won't do anything..." I say softly. "..what...are you...?" The human mumbles to himself as he steps out from behind the dragon and slowly starts to walk towards me. I ruffle my wings slightly and look up at the human. The human steps closer to me and holds out one of his hands in front of my face. I sniff his hand and push my beak into his palm. The human smiles slightly. I move away from his hand and stand up. I look over to the dragon and see him starring at me. "What...?" I ask, looking at him. He blinks a couple times and shakes his head, "w-what..? Oh...uhh..umm...nothing..." He says and looks away. I tilt my head in slight confusion. The human looks between me and the dragon with a slight smile, "well...my name is Hiccup and this is Toothless." The human-Hiccup-says and points at the dragon-Toothless, Hiccup rubs the back of his head, "not...that I would get an answer..." he says and shrugs. "...uhh....do...you have a name?" Hiccup ask, looking at me. I nod and walk over to a tree, I break off a branch and walk back over to Hiccup. I start to write my name into the dirt. "...uhh...(Y/...N)...? (Y/N)? That's your name?" Hiccup asks, looking back up at me, I nod and drop the branch. "(Y/N), lovely name." He says and smiles. I make a happy chirping sound, ruffling my feathers and wings. I walk over to Toothless and noticed that he is taller than me. He tilts his head as I walk closer, "..umm...what are you doing..?" He ask as I walk around him in a circle.

Toothless POV (YAY)

I watch as (Y/N) walks around me then walks over to the small pond. I tilt my head in confusion, "uhhh...what just happened...???" I thought as I look at her.
