Not Alone
You speak so much truth,
yet hide from the light.
Take your own advice,
And learn how to fly.
You could be so much more,
If you just spread your wings.
I know you’ve faced hard ships,
But they’ve made you stronger.
Don’t listen to lies,
They poison you,
Rot your soul.
Look into the light,
Not the darkness within.
Your eyes used to shine so bright!
But now they’ve lost their light.
Who extinguished your hope,
And left you to mope.
Ignore them,
They mean nothing,
If they can not see the kindness in you.
Don’t listen to the ones that hurt you.
Listen to the ones that stand by your side,
Day and night they are with you,
Never letting you down.
You are not alone no matter what your mind whispers.
Feeling lonely,
As if no one cares?
Look at the person standing next you.
See that she only wants to help.
Don’t push her away when she gets closer.
Embrace her friendship.
See? Your not alone.
