Annabeth's POV

"Why!? Why does it always have to be you, Seaweed Brain!?"
I thought as I held Percy's hand while he was unconscious in the Infirmary.
Yesterday, a giant black dog attacked the one I love and bit him and really scratched him up. I look at the clear as day white scars against his tan skin on his chest and abdomen.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by Thalia sitting next to me. "How is he?" she asked concerning. "Hasn't woken up and now has scars on his chest and abdomen." I replyed, almost starting to cry again.
Thalia put a hand on my shoulder and smiled at me, reassuring.
One thing was bugging me
Why did my dagger bounce off that thing? It was hurt by silve- Oh Gods!! If it bit him then....
A woman's voice pulled me out of my thoughts
"Yes Annabeth, he has been bitten by a werewolf."
I look over my shoulder to see Artemis walking closer to the bed and I pulled Percy's unconscious body closer to me.
"Please!! Don't kill him!" I cried, knowing and fearing that she will take my Percy away from me.
Thalia touched my arm and Artemis put her hand up.
"Calm down, I will not kill the only male demigod I've grown to respect in over a thousand years. However, I will have to keep an eye on Perseus to see what he will do."
I sighed in relief but was still scared for Percy. I was determined however, to help Percy bare this curse that he doesn't deserve.
"Will you help him though? Please, you know more about werewolves than anyone." I pleaded, filled with hope.

Artemis' POV

When the Daughter of Athena asked me that question, I was conflicted. My head spoke, Kill him, put an end to his misery. It's more merciful.
But my heart spoke, No, help him. Don't kill the only good male- no, Man. Help him be at peace with what he has come to be. I will help him control this curse. But I will need... I will need help. Daughter of Athena! She can help keep him under control!
It is decided, I will help him. Besides, I owe him after taking the sky for me. It's the best I can do.
"Ms. Chase, I will help him. But I need your help."
Annabeth nodded "Anything to help him."
"It will be difficult for him to control the monster within him, but with your love for him, he can control it." I said.
Annabeth nodded and asked "How will you help though?"
Before I could answer, we heard groaning come from the bed and we saw young Perseus slowly stir.

Percy's POV
I slowly woke up with a painful headache and I blinked a few times but my vision was blury but I could make out blonde hair, short black hair, and auburn hair.
"A-Annabeth? Thalia? Lady Artemis?" I asked while trying to get up but felt extreme pain on my left shoulder and chest. "AGH!!! The Hades!"
"Relax Perseus, you have suffered an attack." Artemis spoke while gently pushing me back on the bed.
I looked to my right to see Annabeth in tears so I brought my hand to her left cheek and wiped away her tears.
"Hey Wise Girl. Are you alright?"
She cries harder and starts hitting my chest "Alright!? You suffered a bite and claws and you have the nerve to ask me if I'm alright!? You're lucky that I don't beat the Styx out of you!!" she keeps hitting me and crying harder.
I let her hit me and I start hugging her as she cries.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. But a giant dog won't kill me."
She glared at me murderously and slaps me hard in the face
"You are such a Seaweed Brain!! That was not just a giant dog!! That was a werewolf, and it bit you!!"
I started to piece together what she's saying but I didn't want to be right "Are... Are you saying I'm..."
I was answered by Artemis "Yes Perseus, you are a werewolf"
My eyes widen and felt something watery in my eyes. "N-no... It can't be."
Artemis nodded and put a hand on my shoulder "Do not worry Perseus. Me and Annabeth as well as Thalia will help you."
I look at her "Why are you helping me, a monster? I'm a male."
Artemis smiled warmly at me "You proved me wrong. You showed me that not all males are filthy pigs. Besides, you took the sky for me and helped Zoë die in peace. This is my chance to repay you."
I look away and look at Annabeth who was crying into my chest and I started stroking her hair.
"What if I hurt someone? Or worse.... Kill someone?"
Thalia shook her head and ruffled my hair "We aren't killing you Kelp Head. You are worth the injuries. But if you bite me, I am so kicking your butt."
I slightly smile and I hug Thalia along with Annabeth.

A few days later

I slowly started getting used to the fact of being a werewolf, but I didn't want anyone to know or I would be feared and possibly kicked out of camp. I first thought about leaving but Annabeth won't let me out of her sights and Artemis is staying because she promised to help me control my curse. There were some instances where I was savagely ripping meat apart like an animal during lunch and dinner.
Right now it was at night and I was in my cabin and I took my shirt off and looked at my scars and flinched as I touched them. I walked to my bed but I started to feel chest hurt and the pain increased and I yelled.
I got on my knees and looked at my arms as black hair grew long and soft, nails grew out from my original nails. I yelled more in pain as long canines grew out fron my gums and I saw my nose grow longer as I kept yelling in pain. Soon my entire body was covered in black fur and I howled so loud that all of Olympus possibly heard it.
I looked like a large black wolf with a long grey streak on my left side and I still had sea green eyes but they had small hints of yellow. I looked at the door and I charged through and made it outside in the cool air and I looked up to see the full moon. I saw a huge flash of silver light, only to see a woman in a silver hunting outfit, Artemis.
She spoke to me "Perseus, listen to me. You are the Hero of Olympus. You saved us and proved that nothing will stop you. Don't let this stop you!"
I growled loudly and hunched and prepared to strike. One side was telling me "Kill her! Kill her! Taste the flesh of a goddess!" but another side of me told me "Stop!! This isn't you you! You would never hurt your friends!"
However, my wolf side won and my eyesight was red. I saw her bring her bow out and notched an arrow. The last thing I heard before I lunged at her was "I'm sorry".
