"Come on, hyung. Could you be any slower?" Hyungwon yells from the top of the hill. "I'm coming," I say while panting, "almost there!"
I finally make it up to the top and sit down, trying to catch my breath. "Hyung~" He whines, "let's see who can roll down the hill the fastest!" "But we've already done this five times now. Let's take a break." I suggest. "Fine." He pouts. We lay down next to each other on our stomachs and stare at the sunset. "Look, hyung! The sky is purple and pink!" He yells while pointing at the sunset. "It's beautiful." I state. "You're beautiful too, hyung." I look at him with flushed cheeks and see him looking back at me with a big smile. "Thanks, but you're beautifuller." "No! You're the beautifullest, hyung!" "No! You're the beautifullest!" "No, you are!" "No, you are!"
By the time we decided we were both equally beautiful, the sun was long gone. "Boys! Come inside!" Eomma yells from the house. "Come on, hyung! Let's roll down!" I sigh and eventually roll down the hill. Hyungwon won again, just like the five other times. We race inside my house to eat the dinner eomma made for us.
After dinner, I asked eomma if Hyungwon could sleep over and she said yes. She left to go tell Hyungwon's parents about him sleeping over.
"Hyung, let's play hide and seek!" "Ok!" I excitedly say. I cup my hands over my eyes and start counting to ten. I hear shuffling in the room and then it went quiet. Once I finished counting I yelled out, "Ready or not, here I come!" I run to the closet because that's his usual hiding spot but he wasn't there. I ran downstairs and looked in the kitchen and living room but no sign of Hyungwon. I ran back upstairs and look in the bathroom but nothing again. I stop to think. And then I heard giggling. I ran to my room and listened carefully.
I heard the giggling coming from under my bed. I dived under my bed yelling "Gotcha!" and start to tickle him. "Ahh! Hyung! St-stop! That t-tickles! Ah! It h-hurts!" He yells in between laughs. I finally stop and let him catch his breath.
We get up from under the bed and lay down on it. "I'm tired, hyung. I'm gonna sleep." He sleepily says while closing his eyes. "But we have to wait for eomma to make our bath." I remind him. Me and Hyungwon always take a bath together every time he sleeps over. "Oh yeah!" He remembers and suddenly gets excited.
Eomma finally goes to the bathroom and sets up the bathtub just the way me and Hyungwon like it. With lots and lots of bubbles! "You're bath is ready!" Eomma calls out. We race to the bathroom and start to undress ourselves. We get in, the water being a perfect mixture of hot and cold.
Eomma leaves us to go answer the phone that was ringing. Me and Hyungwon started playing together with the bubbles. "Look, hyung!" I look at him and see that he has a beard made of bubbles and a mountain of bubbles on top of his head. I couldn't stop laughing at him. I rinse off all the bubbles from his hair and face. Eomma comes back and washes both of us.
After our bath, eomma dries us off and tucks us into bed. "Goodnight, Hoseok." She's says while kissing me on the forehead. She goes to the other side of the bed and does the same thing to Hyungwon. She treats him as if he was her son whenever he sleeps over.
It was around two in the morning when I heard crying. I opened my eyes and saw Hyungwon sitting up with his face buried in his knees, he was sobbing. I sat up as well and scooted closer to him. "What's wrong?" I ask while rubbing circles on his back. "I had a bad dream." He answered while looking at me. I gave him a hug and he immediately hugged me back. I patted his back and he buried his face in the crook of my neck. "It's ok, it was just a dream. It wasn't real."
After he stopped crying, I asked him "Do you want to talk about your dream?" but he doesn't answer. I eventually heard light snores erupting from his mouth. I lay him down on the bed and wrap my arms around him. I bring him close to my chest and drift off to sleep.
I woke up about four hours later with Hyunwon still in my arms. I slowly sit up, trying not to wake him up, and walk downstairs. I see eomma making breakfast. "Goodmorning." I say while sitting at the kitchen table. "Goodmorning, go wake up Hyungwon, breakfast is almost ready." She says, I nod my head and go back upstairs.
"Wake up, Hyungwon." I say while slightly shoving his arm. His eyes flutter open and he looks at me. "Breakfast is ready." "Ok." He groans while stretching and we both head downstairs. Eomma serves us our pancakes and we eat, sometimes feeding each other our from our own plates.
"Come on, hyung! It's time for me to learn!" Hyungwon states while he drags me up to my room. Almost every morning I 'teach' him how to draw. We sit at my desk and both grab a piece of paper and a crayon. "What do you want to draw today?" I ask. He thinks for a while before making up his mind. "I want to draw a flower!" He shouts, "Like the one you drew for me the first time we met." "Ok. First let's draw the long, green thing under the flower." He nods his head and we both draw it. "Then let's draw a circle in the middle of the paper." And we do just that. "And now we draw the round things around the circle."
After we finish, we both show each other our drawings. They looked almost exactly the same. "I like yours better, hyung. It's really pretty." He says. "Thanks, I like yours too." "Hyungwon!" Eomma called out, "you're parents are here!" "Bye, hyung!" He gives me a big hug to which I return and leaves with his drawing.
I look out of my window and watch them walk back to their house. "Look at what hyung taught me!" He exclaims to his eomma. "Wow, it's really nice!" His eomma states making Hyungwon very proud of his drawing. They head inside their house and I wait a couple minutes before Hyungwon's window opens. "Hi, hyung!" He waves while giggling. "Hi!" I wave back. "Eomma likes the drawing I made. I'm gonna hang it up on my wall next to all the drawings we've made together!" He walks to the other side of his room and tapes the drawing on the wall which gives me a satisfied smile. "I have to go, hyung. I'll see you tomorrow, bye!" He waves goodbye. "Bye, Hyungwon!" I wave back but he already left.
See you tomorrow, Hyungwon.
