1.) first I like to draw these two little dots that represent the edges of the lips. And den that lil bump in the middle representing where the top lip ends.

2.) Some more lines to separate the lips from the rest of the face...

3.) NOW FOR SHADING (leh fun part) The top lip would be darker from a light source coming from above since it's facing away from the light~ Proof:
