Ace was laying down only in his boxers, belly up, smoking. I was laying besides him, on my side, with my head in his chest, only in my underwear as well. We were in silence. He seemed lost in his thoughts and I didn't dare to bother.
-Kat?-He whispered when I was almost falling asleep.
-Yes?
-You do know I didn't leave you in that day, right?-I was so sleepy I didn't know what the hell he was talking about.
-What day, Ace?
-You know... When we first... You know!
-Oh!-I made a little pause.-I don't wanna talk about it...
-I didn't, Kat!-He got up abruptly and grabbed his jacket, searching for something in his pockets.-Here!-He threw me a paper. It was one of those proof of purchase papers from the supermarket.
-Alright. Why do I need to know you went to buy eggs and...
-You're missing the point!-He took the paper out of my hands rudely.-It's the date, Kat... I left for a second to go buy us something to make breakfast! I couldn't have you here for the second time and still have nothing to feed you! But when I got back, you were gone and I just....
-Michael...-I sighed and sat in bed.-Why didn't you tell me?
-Well-He lied in bed again.-Do you even let anyone speak when you're mad?!-He said serious but then started laughing.
-I do!
-Oh, hell no, girl!

I was alone in the club. The boys had left for some reason I wasn't qualified to know yet. I was just drinking, worried sick about Ace. What was I supposed to do?! One moment we're chilling at home, next Jax calls and next thing I know, the boys are leaving, shotguns in their hands!
I was worried, but I was also happy I was alone at the bar. Besides Ace, there was something else constantly in my mind during the time I spent in London... The damn book.
I grabbed a glass of whiskey and walked towards Jax's office. I stopped at the door, having a sip, looking inside. As I was about to walk inside, my phone rang which nearly caused me a heart attack. I picked up.
-Kat.-Ace answered.
-Jeez, Ace!-I took a deep breath slightly mad and then it hit me. Why the hell was he calling?-Is everything alright? Do you need something?
-I was about to ask the same. We just stopped for a drink and something clicked and I had to call. What are you up to?-I felt like he knew exactly what I was doing.
-Oh... I'm at the clubhouse, waiting on you.
-Baby, go home. We'll probably only get there by morning...
-Alright... Stay safe. I love you.-I hung up. Damn, that was exactly what I needed. A whole night to discover what had happened so wrong with Jax that he didn't allow relationships in the club. Little did I know...
I grabbed the bottle of Whiskey and my glass and then sat in Jax's office. I slipped my hand under his desk, where he kept the secret drawer where the book was hidden. I then put the book over the desk and blew off the dust. I couldn't wait to take a sip of Jax's life but I was always into cocktails. I filled my glass and put it down. I then refilled it and turned the first page.
I lost myself reading. I could feel her pain and I didn't need to finish the book to know it wouldn't be a "happy ever after" type of story. In many ways, that girl was a lot like me. Maybe that's why Jax liked me in first place but as I got deeper and deeper in the story, I realized it wasn't about Jax. It was about a guy named Danny and Richard had his part in it too.
I was so confused. Why was Jax hiding a book that wasn't even about him?
It was almost 8am when I noticed the hours. I almost had another heart attack and only had time to shove the book back in its place before Jax found me sitting in his chair. He looked at me, with one eyebrow up and his mouth slightly open. Then he looked at the whiskey bottle, which was half way through and sighted.
-I'm not even going to ask...-He grabbed his keys from his desk and left. Soon Ace walked in too.
-I told you to go home...-He kissed my forehead. I looked at him and smiled.
-Home is where the heart is.-He looked at me for a few seconds and then smiled. He then kissed me softly.
-Are you coming home now? Everybody is going. I don't think the club will open today...
-You know... I think I'm gonna stay a little longer.
-Doing what?
-I think I'm gonna head to my dad's for the day...
-That's... weird...
-Will you drop me off or will I have to walk?!-I was starting to lose my patience. I didn't like to lie to Ace but I was sure if I told him what I was doing, he'd give me up.
-Jeez! I'll wait outside!-He left, pretty pissed. As soon as he left, I grabbed the book and shoved it in my backpack. This time I came prepared to take it.

I was in the middle of nowhere, my horse laying besides me. I found myself hoping Sam and Danny would work out but it didn't last long until my peace was interrupted. I got a text from someone. It said: "I know what you did, Katniss... I also need 10K. You have two hours". I didn't even know what to think! I was caught off of guard. I then received another message with the address where I should deliver the money. Man, I wouldn't mind paying someone to keep their mouth shut. It really didn't bother my moral rules but I did not have 10K!
"I don't have 10K! Who the fuck are you?"-I texted back.
"Someone you should be very afraid off"-He answered right away.-"Get the money and bring it to me or I'll fuck you up so bad you won't even be able to scream for help!"-He texted again, before I could even say something.
"Do you even know who you're talking to?!"
"I do. Your mom was a broke ass bitch. Your dad was a lil pussy. Your <<parents>> are just a waste of space. You date the biggest cock sucker I've ever met! So, yeah, I know a lot about you!"
I lost it. The old Kat was back. Who the hell did he think he was to speak to me like that?!
"Give me a place. I wanna settle this with my fist in your face, motherfucker!"
"I've given you the place. Come alone. Or I'll have to kill you all."
