Be My Queen (Sequeal to: "The Mafia boy")

Part 23

(Natsu's PoV)

I pulled away from Lucy as the doctor came in. "Lucy, Natsu, congratulations but I have some bad news." He paused for dramatic effect. "It's actually a miracle Lilith was even born. But, she's going to be your only birth child." My smile faded as I held Lucy's free hand. "With all the complications of the pregnancy it's obvious that if you get pregnant again your life will be at risk even more. And you'll probably die if you end up pregnant again." The doctor explains before leaving. I didn't even have to look at Lucy to know she was torn apart.

When I turned and looked at Lucy she already had a river of tears she was trying to rub away. With out a second thought I brought Lucy's head to my chest. With the hand I was holding she let's go and clings to my shirt and just started crying.

I couldn't bear to see her like this. I hate seeing Lucy cry. "At least we have Lilith. I'm fine with just her." I heard her sniffle as she started to calm down. My fingers started to mindlessly run thrown her hair. This became a habit of mine. Always running my finger throw her hair. "Lucy. You had a lot of complications with this pregnancy but look at the bright side. Lilith is so healthy and everything is fine with her. She's our perfect little girl." I added as I rubbed my thumb over Lilith's head. All Lucy had now was the sniffles.

I remember all the doctor visits. The multiple time the doctor said the baby was supposed to be dead. If it wasn't the baby then it was Lucy. It seemed like every week the doctors found something new with Lucy's pregnancy. The countless sleepless nights I had, staying up from worrying. Staying up so just in case something happened and Lucy needed to be rushed to the hospital so she didn't have to fight to wake me up.

I can't even begin to imagine all the nights Lucy might of stayed up all night with worry and stress. All the nights I spent soothing her restless mind. She would eventually fall asleep on chest. Even though it was only a few hours. It was still better then staying up all night and day. With out a wink of sleep.

I can't even count how many times I come home late at night to find Lucy in the nursery. She would sit in the rocking chair with her hands on her belly. I would just stand there for a moment and imagine the baby being cradled in her arms. Them both asleep. Lucy would have messy hair, two day old cloths on, and some baby fat from the pregnancy. While the child would look perfectly clean, being neatly wrapped up in a blanket to keep her warm.

Lilith was truly our perfect angel. I can't wait to see her say her first words or take her first steps. To see her off to her first day of school. I can't wait to see how she grows and turns out in the end. Will she have mine or Lucy's hair? My stubbornness or Lucy's attitude? Who will she become? What will she do?

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have the honor to take care of the two most beautiful girls in the world. Let alone get married.

If you would have told 19 year old me that I would some day be engaged and become a father to a baby girl by the age of 23 I would of told you that it was ludicrous lie and to fuck off. Amazing how people changed.

I used to be the mafia prince of the strongest Mafia gang known in Magnolia. But now I'm a father to a perfect baby girl and engaged to a beautiful women who I love with all of my heart and would gladly throw my life away to save her. I'm also a soon to be boss of Fairy Tail.

I looked at Lucy. I admired her beauty. It wasn't long before she looked back at me. Her eyes were red and puffy. Still wet from tear. Her lips were chapped and her whole body still had a thick layer of sweat over it even though she's been out of labor for a few hours now. Her hair was an absolute mess and stuck to her forehead. But I still couldn't help but to think she was still gorgeous. "Lucy, I have one more thing to ask." She hummed in reply. "Gramps is going to be retiring soon and once that happens I'll become the new leader of Fairy Tail." I paused for a moment. Her smile faded slowly. "And a king can't really rule without his queen. So, will you become my queen, and help me with fairy tail." I finished. Her smile quickly returned. "Yes." She answered and she pulled me into a hug.

Im sorry!! I know I said I have a lot of plans for this story and that I would continue it and there would be a lot more chapters before it ends buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
I was going to continue with an epilogue. I still have ideas but I was going to cramp them into one realllllllly long epilogue. I just didn't want to dragged out the story more then I have and it just felt right to end the story here.

I know I left some questions unanswered but I promise I will answer them the way I can in the epilogue. Feel free to put those unanswered questions down in the comments so I can answer them.

Another thing. The epilogue won't be up for a while considering I'll be re reading "The Mafia Boy" and this story so I can just frost the cake and call it quits.
