Watching Over You 2 (Overwatch Tracer FF)

Chapter 1

As you entered the room with Lena following close, Athena looked confused at you, she was behind you and looked at Tracer and she asked with an innocent voice

-Momy, who is this man?

Lena had a big smile, and with some tears coming from her eyes she said

-Athena..Dear...This man is your dad Barret

-Daddy? But mommy, you said daddy was gone

Barret heard this, and looked back, he saw the girl and could not help to smile, then he lloked at Lena and his smile grew wider, he lifted her child up and said

-Hi Athena, my name is Barret

His smile grew, and his eyes filled with tears and said

-I am your Daddy my little girl

Athena looked at him confused and said,

-Momy, why has daddy been missing all this time?

Lena looked at Barret, trying to find something to say to her little girl, and Barret then had an idea

-Tell me Athena, do you like stories?

-YES..!!

The young one exclaimed in happiness, Barret smiled and told her

-If you are a good child on the rest of the dinner, Ill tell you an amazing story about daddy alright?

The child smiled and hugged his father, and said

-Ill be good I promise..!!

When Athena exclaimed that at the top of her lungs, Mc Cree and Mercy that were yet on the living room came to the front door asking Athena why was she shouting so loudly at 8 pm, when they saw Barret they could not believe themselves, McCree even rubbed his eyes and said

-I think I drank too much before the party

To which everyone on the room laughed, Barret took McCree's hat and put it on and said, do you really think that a ghost could look this stylish with an old cowboy hat Jesse?

McCree smiled and grabbed his hat back and shaked hands with Barret and said

-Glad to have you back Barret

-Its nice to be back Jesse

They all went down to the dinner table, and Barret helped Lena serve the dishes, the meal was delicious and he asked Lena

-Babe when did you learn to cook so amazingly? 

He said filling his mouth with turkey, Lena laughed and said

-Being a single mother teaches you a couple of things honey, now shut up, and eat your dinner before it gets cold

Barret laughed a bit and said on a childish tone

-Yes mom

To which Athena replied

-She is MY MOM 

And everyone on the table laughed, they all enjoyed the meal and told stories, most of them either included overwatch missions, or Mc Cree getting wasted and waking up on very akward places

-And thats why I have a beard now

He said at the end of one of his stories, and then he said

-But enough of me, Barret, you need to tell us, how the heck did you came back if you exploded six years ago

He inhaled deeply and said

-Its yet fuzzy and confusing, but, after the explosion, I felt nothing, I knew I was there, but, I could not do anything, all I thought of was "I wish I was with my girls now"  

He said obviously refering to Lena and her their daughter making her smile and blush a bit

-After so much time, a voice called me, asking me if I wanted another chance at "being allive" I obviously said yes, and well, here I am.

They all looked confused, especially Lena and Athena, Barret looked at them and said

-Maybe Winston should run some tests on me

They all looked at each other with worried faces, or expressing  some kind of intrigue, they all nooded 

-Alright, in that case, I guess we will have to do that tomorrow, I know that having a guy return from the death can be really stressing, especially for some people

He said looking at Lena, making her chuckle a bit and laugh, making the rest of the room laugh too.

2 hours later

After everyone left the house, Barret helped Lena clean the dishes, before they finished Lena told Barret

-Honey, do you want to tuck Athena on bed?

Barret smiled and said

-Sure thing babe, ive wanted to do this for the last six years

Lena smiled and Barret gave her wife a little kiss before going with Athena, which was conviniently looking at her parents, Barret not knowing where her room was had to ask her little one where it was, she guided him, and the room was a little different from what he had expected, not over waturated with pink, and girly things, but it had some boy band posters, some plushies, dolls, and obviously posters from her mom all over

-Ge, why am I not surprised that your mother would want her cute face plastered all over your room sweetie

He said almost whispering, making her daughter laugh, Barret smiled and grabbed her little kid and said

-Alright kiddo time to go to bed

He said lifting her up, and tucking her in, but the child said

-But papa, you said you were gonna tell me amazing stories, Barret smiled and said

-You do have quite the memory huh

He said booping his daughters nose, he smiled and said

-Do you want to hear about the time that I made a whole operation to save the most beautiful women in the whole universe?

The little one had a bright look on her eyes (like steven universe star eyes :p) and she exclaimed

-Yes please daddy

-Alright, so it all began when....

Half an hour later Barret finished his story about the time he saved Lena, (obviously censoring that he exploded himself) he was tired and fell asleep close to his daughters bed, Lnea entered the room to find him with his bed resting next to his daughter and she smiled, and said

-Welcome home Barret

She turned off the lights on the room, and made space for her on the bed, accomodating herself between Barret and Athena, and feel gherself again between the arms of the man he loved, after all those years, his soulmate was back, and they finally were a complete family again
