Blood. There's so much blood. My heart pounded. Throat hoarse and dry. The blood covering my hands. I gagged my throat burning from the amount of times I've puked in the passing hour.

I hunched over, again, my hands on the bare tree stump leaning to the side as I opened my mouth. I sat up right wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.

Daryl lent on a tree as if it were to fall without him there to hold it up. He pushed off it with his foot making his way to me.

"Here." he said, offering me a canteen of water.

I gladly excepted my brothers offer. The cool liquid soothing the horrible taste and curing my dry throat.

"Dar, 'ya 'kay?" a small countryside-southern accent asked.

I looked up at Beth. I nod in response. "Peachy." Obviously I wasn't but whatever rolls her boat and makes her happy.

She nods looking at the yellowish-green puddle of barf. She gags looking away.

Though Beth's been a bitch to me this few passing days I'm in no mood to put up a fight.

"Damn." Daryl said. "Never seen ya' puke this much."

"Well—ah—I—blah—am." I stammered further into the forest but the roadside.

Blurs of colors and textures flew pass my eyes. I slid on patches of ice nearly falling twice. I caught onto a tree branch steading myself. I peered around scanning my surroundings.

Alone.

Just how I like it. My senses increased, my nose twitching at a revolting smell.

Death.

I walked until the smell reached it's limit. I stopped moving and peered around a large tree stump.

I gasped clenching my eyes shut, throwing myself to the other side of the tree. My heart raced.

The body of a woman laid on the ground. Her stomach torn open a long organ beside her. Blood basically drowning her. The saddest past was her stomach was bloated. She indeed was.  .  . pregnant.

I losted my lunch over the scene.

I gloomily trudged over to the woman falling on my knees. Her eyes shot open.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you." I whispered.

I terribled pulling my knife from my ankle holster. I plunged the knife into her brain her head clasping against the stump.

I sat my knife down beside me tears slipping out.

"What has this world come to?" I groaned a sob, picking my weapon back up.

My eyes fell to a trial of blood from the woman to the side of the stump I hadn't ventured. I stumbled over looking at the terrifying image.

I gagged once again. Covering my mouth with my hands.

Severed body pieces lay sprawled across the grass, of a baby. My heart dropped into my stomach. This isn't right. I sadly dug a small hold burying the baby beside it's mom.

"Sorry." I said again stabbing a small cross at the head of the little grave.
