"Ronnie please. Let's not have this conversation right now." He mumbled to Ronnie. Ronnie groaned, face planting back onto her bed sniffling.
"Darling don't cry," he sat down beside her and caressed her hair, "meeting people that way is dangerous. You have to understand. I don't want that boy hurting your feelings, and I most definitely don't want you messaging a boy anyway. They're stupid."
"So you're stupid?" Ronnie giggled. Shawn stammered out words with a small laugh in between, "n-not the point." He kissed the top of her head, and tucking her in for bed. With her front tooth missing, she smiled cheekily at her dad, kissing him goodnight.
"Love you Ronnie." He kissed the tips of his fingers throwing his small kisses to her, she pretended to catch them. He flickered off the lights and she immediately had a bright glow on her face. She clicked back onto the app to message gage.
RONNIEMUFFIN: my dad said we can't be friends.
GAGE: oh
GAGE: my mom said the same
RONNIEMUFFIN: shouldn't all grown ups be friends?
