The next morning, everyone wakes up with a hangover, everyone except Scott and Allison, who did not participate in the drinking activities. They attend the hotel breakfast yawning, their eyes red. Malia and Kira make plans to not sleep in the same room tonight. They simply are perfect together. They talk quietly through breakfast, just engulfed in their perfect little world. Some of Kira's family tries to talk to the group of friends, and the friends try their best to be presentable. Malia's family consists of her two cousins. Cora and Derek. Her mother abandoned her as a child and her father was never really in her life. That's why they decided that Kira would walk down the aisle and Malia would be on the receiving end. Lydia and Stiles avoid each other at all costs, their only interaction occurring when Stiles offers her bacon and she scrunched her nose in disgust, where as Scott and Allison work through the tense air. They converse casually, engulfing themselves in talk of the past.
After breakfast, they are going out to lunch at some fancy building. They have been told to dress nice, but no gowns. Sundresses and things like that. But because it's March and a bit cooler, those who are not as happy with cold weather will probably bundle up more than wearing just a sun dress.
Lydia keeps the sexy look going, where a tight, knit, burgundy dress and black tights and heels. Her hair is yet again in a knot on top of her head, her makeup dark, but not nearly as unforgiving as last night.
Allison dresses herself in a blue lace dress and grey looking leather jacket, pulling tan booties onto her feet.
The group walks to wear they are to eat lunch. It's a two story building covered in flowers and giant windows. On the inside there is one room full of tables to dine at. In another room there are a few couches and chairs to lounge in. On the second floor there is a bathroom along with two more sitting areas. Upon entering, the group is required to go to the dining area. Kira's family fills two tables, where as Malia does not even have a table for her family. Mainly because her only family members present are Derek and Cora. Kira and Malia have their own table for two in the middle of the other tables. The group of young teens are split up. Stiles, Lydia, Scott, and Allison at one table, then Cora, Derek, and Isaac at the other table. Servers come out, some with menus, some with water pitchers. Everyone gets one food menu, and one drink menu.
Upon getting the drink menu, Stiles scrunches his nose and calls over a waiter. "Yes hi hello good sir, so the only drink options are wines and champagnes?" Stiles asks.
"Yes sir," the waiter replies. Stiles digs in his pocket and pulls out a hundred dollar bill.
"You can say hello to a hundred of you run out and get me a bottle of Fireball," Stiles offers. The waiter takes he money graciously.
"Of course sir." Scott rolls his eyes at his best friend.
"What? I like Fireball," Stiles defends himself, "also Miss Martin made my worst fears come true last night so you know, I'm a little bit well, a lot a bit heart broken," Stiles says bluntly. Allison grabs Scott's hand under the table in anticipation of how Lydia will reply. Lydia glares at Stiles.
"Now you know how it feels, welcome to the party Stilinski," Lydia snarls. Stiles smiles sadly.
"Martin, I started the party ten years ago when you walked down the hallway with your hair in a green scrunchie following your third grade teacher, not even glancing at me," Stiles tells her, holding back tears as he recalls the memory vividly. Lydia looks at him with a hard expression, but everything inside her screams for her to forgive him.
"Didn't seem like you loved me that much when I finally expressed my feelings for you and then you left me standing in the rain," Lydia fires back. Scott and Allison try desperately to sink back into their seats.
"Well Martin that's because over time I realized that since you constantly ignored me I wasn't good enough for you," Stiles shoots back at Lydia.
"I constantly got intimate with you, after you left me your face was permanently seared into the inside of my eye lids and my heart was broken," Lydia hisses.
"You wanna talk about permanent? Try having the girl you loves name cut into your arm because one night the rejection was just to much," Stiles exclaims pulling up his sleeve to reveal Lydia's name, neatly carved into his forearm. Lydia's eyes are locked on the scar that is on his arm. Allison and Scott hadn't known about this either. Stiles had cut Lydia's name into his skin.
The waiter comes over. "Are we ready to order?" Scott doesn't look away from Stiles arm before replying.
"I think we need some time."
----------------------------------------
Scott and Allison walk casually around the building until eventually ending up in the sitting room upstairs. They decided the best thing to do was leave Stiles and Lydia alone for a few minutes. Allison laughs at something Scott said. "So in all seriousness, what's your address, maybe we can get together some time after the wedding," Scott asks of Allison. She thinks for a minute.
"I'll text it to you later, that way you have it in writing," Allison lies to him. In reality she just can't let them truly reconnect. Scott smiles and nods. "Ugh, I'm so excited to eat, I've gotten so fat lately because of eating so much!" Allison jokes, secretly trying to pull Scott's attention away from how only her stomach and face have filled out.
"Awe I think it's good you put on some weight," Scott states putting his hand on her stomach. They have always been this comfortable with each other so it would never be weird. But of course Allison takes a deep breath in. That was the first time Scott has touched where their baby resides. He doesn't even know he is doing it either. Her eyes start to tear up, but he thankfully, does not notice. "You think the foods ready?" Scott asks casually. Allison shrugs and begins to walk downstairs, Scott trailing behind her. They come back to the dining room to find Lydia still staring Stiles down. Allison shares an uh oh look with Scott before sitting down again.
"Lydia forget it," Stiles insists, not looking at her in fear of breaking down.
"Stiles it's not okay, you don't just- Jesus fuck man look at me," she demands. Stiles shakes his head. "Why not?"
"Because if I look at you I maybe never stop looking at you because you are all I want in the world Lydia Martin. You're utterly perfect and I just want to love you and touch you and be with you every waking minute of our lives. I want to be a ghost and hear you say your eulogy for me. I want you to die peacefully as and old lady and join me where we can drink cocktails in heaven and watch our kids grow up and have kids of their own, who then have more kids and we just get to watch generations be born all because of us. I want to spend forever with you, but I fucked up so bad that I don't even have the privilege of glancing at you for single second. God damn it Lydia, I've loved you since I was nine fucking years old and we've kissed countless times, but never actually kissed together, just as a couple. I want to be able to brag about you to everyone as more than a friend. I want to go to my mothers grave and tell her how much she would love you. I want for Scott, Allison, you, and I to go on cheesy double dates, not this bullshit where you and I tag along for the ride as friends. I want you to be mine and I want to be yours," Stiles rambles, his eyes squeezed shut tight to avoid looking at Lydia. But even if his eyes were open he wouldn't see her, because as soon as he was down speaking, Lydia fled the room, tears on the verge of spilling.
