Chapter 12
The morning after Christmas I woke up to Andrew telling me we had to get up so we could leave soon. It was going to snow, he was waking me up. Opening my eyes I saw him getting out of bed and heading towards the door to use the bathroom. Getting up I went through the bag I brought over with me Christmas Eve looking for the clothes I was wearing to the resort. The rest were in my suitcase near the door next to Andrew’s. Once he came back I ran in bringing my clothes with me. I still wasn’t comfortable changing in front of him and I don’t think I ever will be. The thought of even being semi-naked in front of him got to me. I wasn’t built like him yet, and I felt I never would be. He had muscles, a six pack, clearly chiseled. I, well, I wasn’t. My arms had toned a little I believed but I was no model. Andrew could be though, easily. Coming back into the room just about ready to go I took my jacket out his closet to have with me. I didn’t need it now but I would need it once we arrived I was sure.
“Good to go?” Andrew had his jacket on his arm and held the handle to his suitcase ready to bring it downstairs.
“I think so.” Grabbing my suitcase we went downstairs to put it near the door so it would be ready once the car showed up. At Mary’s request we went into the kitchen to have breakfast so we wouldn’t be starving on the road.
“I won’t bother you while you’re gone but please call me once you get there so I know you arrived safely.”
“Sure thing mother, no problem. I’ll call when we are heading home too so you know.” Andrew was ripping a bagel into pieces to pop into his mouth easily. I was still adding cream cheese to half of mine. I wasn’t crazy about plain bagels.
“Thank you. Oh, and your father already called ahead to make sure you have no problem checking in. If you do just call him and he’ll take care of it.”
“Thanks mom.”
“Why would we have a problem?” I was curious, these arrangements were made last month and as far I knew Andrew had no problem making them.
“I am under twenty-one. They could create problems trying to check in. It seems to happen every time we go away. When the guys went to Portland they had trouble though they had triple checked with the hotel before they left. And when we went to Vegas.”
“Oh. I didn’t realize that before but it makes sense.”
Finishing up we cleaned up and headed to the car hearing that it arrived.
Stepping outside I saw the car was a Lincoln, which meant room for us. That was good I feared we would be cramped for the trip since neither of us are small people. Getting our suitcases into the trunk we said goodbye to his parents and took off. I was pretty excited seeing as I had never gone to a ski range before and this was my first time going away with just Andrew.
“See this is much better. No awkwardness.” Andrew stretched out to get comfortable for the long ride in front of us.
“How long until we get there?” I wanted to relax but my body had trouble sitting still already.
“At least four hours, that’s hoping we don’t hit traffic.”
“Your right, this is better without the awkwardness.”
Feeling pressure on my thighs I saw he put his legs on me, “Oh no!” Shoving them off we started laughing. This was going to be a long trip I could see that now. Andrew was going to be a bother and try to mess with me. He was probably even thinking the same thing I was knowing him, this was the best time for us to make out. The only problem was the driver could totally see us. This wasn’t some limo with the tinted window to hide ourselves from. Anyone around us could see what we doing.
