My dear friend,
I love our laughs and smiles
But I wish we wouldn't bend
I always thought I would stay for awhile.
I would still stay
But only if you asked me too
Our world has turned quite gray
I can't keep holding on to me and you.
Maybe I'm just making this up
The distance is nothing but a lack of time
Our problems are nothing but a mix up
You know you can call anytime.
I know you don't mean to
I'm pretty sure you don't know what you're doing
All I wanted was a thank you
You're tearing me apart and this is the final string.
This silent battlefield we're on,
Has to stop now.
I don't want our love to be gone
But if it doesn't end I'm going to lose more than I allow.
