If Only I Could

If only I could be,

You for just a minute.

Maybe they would see,

I have what it takes to win it.

All I've ever wanted,

Is what you've got.

Silently you taunted

Me with everything I'm not.

You're only viewed as perfect,

To them you do no wrong.

While I stand in the back and work for it,

Trying to be strong.

But after everything I've wished

I was never quite enough.

Because only you could be fished,

Out of the sea of love.

I must learn to accept,

They will only pick you.

But in the end I am prepped,

For the walls I'll have to break through.

If only you could,

See what I see now.

Then maybe you would have understood,

How I made it there somehow.
