When I left that night, I told my mom all about Sara and Alex and our new seat. Unexpectedly, my mom asked me "you like that kid Alex don't you?" I wasn't sure what to say. Do I really like him?
I blushed a little and replied "I don't know... I don't want to but I think I might!" Oh great, I'd never hear the end of this one. Why did I even tell her that!
The next few practices were going to be fun. I'd have to sit next to Alex and try not thinking about this. I'd also have to control my blushing when he made his dumb jokes.

Last week I was in science and the teacher told us we would be heading down to the computer lab. Great. My assigned seat was right next to Alex's. I wasn't complaining, not one bit, but I was scared. Every time I was around him there was a new adventure.
We had started our assignment that was due by Friday and Alex had no clue what to do so he asked me for help. I basically ended up doing all the answers but he helped me get onto the website and taught me how to save my work to my folder. It wasn't that hard and I kept rushing ahead of him to get it done.
Once I finished the questions, Alex thanked me three times. Mr. Clark was coming around to check our completed work so that we could move on. I was complimented by Alex for how smart and helpful I was. And then he turned to me and said three words that I will never forget: "I love you."
It wasn't quiet so the teacher heard it from his desk and from my corner of the desk all the way down to the other corner heard him. Most of the class said "awe" in unison and I was so embarrassed. I thought he stop liking me when the play ended. Our teacher gave us weird look in shock. I dropped my head down to the keyboard without caring that letters were spamming all over my assignment.
When I finally put my head up I giggled. I can't believe he had the guts to say that in front of everyone! No boy has every said they liked me, let alone loved me. Alex rubbed my back and laughed with me. My face was starting to heat up. Thank bookworms for the dismissal bell that rang right after that, letting me run out of class.
I thought I would've gotten lucky enough to escape from Alex but he caught up quick enough to follow me to my locker before our next class. When I pulled out my snack he instantly went quiet. "Are you hungry?" I asked.
Alex: "Just a bit."
Me: "I might have an extra something for you if you want it."
Alex: "okay!"
Me: "all I have is a sucker, you can have it if you want."
Alex: "yay! Thank you so much! I love you."Again! This time no one else heard him but he gave me a hug from behind me and rested him head for a quick second on my shoulder. His hug was warm and I felt comfortable. If I had a choice I would've stayed like that longer. But we had to hurry off to social studies.
"You're sweet but we should really get to class.' And we did. He walked right next to me and continued to talk about something random. I wasn't paying attention because I was thinking about how safe I felt in his arms and how he just used some really powerful words. I wasn't sure if I was ready for that.
The moment was ruined a few moment later when I spotted my ex boyfriend Mitchell glaring at Alex and I. He almost looked jealous but then again, he might have already moved on unlike me. I didn't know what to do anymore so I just stopped walking. Dead center of the hall way.
If you guys want to read about Mitchell's story, it's on my wattpad called 'Waiting For Him'!! Thanks!! Xoxo~ Poopsie53
