The nigh three nights of the play were pretty amazing. Alex and I got to know each other really well. He was super sweet, funny, and really caring. Never had I had a guy friend as caring as him. If I was sad, Alex was there as fast as possible to cheer me up. Even if that meant chase me around the stage in circles and dancing like a fool.

On the very last night of the play, Alex held my hand as we waited for our intermission to be over. I told him how each night, I was hit on the arm my the firecracker that went off above me. Still to this day I have the marks from it. I had told him it didn't hurt but he thought I was trying to be tough so he rubbed the spot. I smiled at him and tried not to think too much about it.

When the show was over, I headed back to my dressing room to change and gather all my stuff for the closet. There was going to be an afterparty on the stage with the crew and directors. My family was letting me stay and I was super excited when I found out Alex was staying too.

I found my parents after forty-five minutes of returning clothes, cleaning props, and visiting my audience. My best friend Isaac came for my last show and I was so happy to go see him after. I've had a huge crush on him since sixth grade when we had social studies together. In fact, we still hang out and I've been over his house quite a few times with my mom. He's also invited me to his birthday party at a skate park which was a blast! That was the night he hugged me.

I found Isaac in the crowd before I found my parents so I ran over to them to thank them for coming. Isaac had bought me flowers. Three to be exact, two light purple and one single white orchid. I loved them and I couldn't help but blush!

The after party was a blast. Alex sat by my family and I, including my dad, step mom, and three brothers. I was afraid my brothers would embarrass me but surprisingly they kept it all down. Alex got me a cupcake and a frosted cookie and whispered to me "these are for you because you're so sweet."

I giggled. It was the first time I had ever giggled in front of a boy. My parents found it funny and so did Alex. I begged my dad to stay until the party was over because I was having so much fun with Alex and my cast members. I couldn't believe how quicker the shows went by! It was sad and yes I did get emotional when the last show ended.

When I left that night after my dad helped move heavy sets, my brothers asked me a thousand questions about Shrek. They were referring to Alex. Not so much the show itself. I simply told them that he was just a friend of mine that actually cared to talk to me and be goofy. Alex enjoyed that I was goofy too. But of course my brothers didn't fall for that. They knew the truth.
