I put my headphones on to block out the sound,
The fights are to much to take right now.
The screams getting louder,
The tears falling harder.
The pain worsens in my heart,
And my self esteem falls into the dark.
Living a nightmare,
Full of pain.
The lights going out all around,
I'm alone now.
People leave and I'm forced to sit here wondering,
Why those I need are never by my side.
But I'll put on a fake smile,
And wait for the end.
Hide behind the mask of someone I'm not,
And be the person they all want.
