Belle opened her mouth and the words that came out were words that forever changed both of their lives. Beast stared at her with so much pain behind his eyes as her lips moved and her words came out.
"I'm not going anywhere." She growled at the witch, flickering her eyes up to look at Sebastian whose pain filled eyes studied her with bewilderment and hope. Their gazes locked and it seemed like for moments it was just the two of them. Just them in the world. No one else.
Had she made a mistake by saying that? Should she have just accepted the offer and gone home where she belonged? Never remembering Sebastian or his curse?
No. That didn't feel right.
If she was going to follow her instinct, she was going to do it right. And everything inside her was telling her that she needed to be here with him. That she needed to give him a chance to be free.
The witch glared openly at Belle with her glowing green eyes, her face morphing into one of hostility. "What did you just say?" She gritted out through clenched teeth.
Belle narrowed her eyes as they found the witch, who's form was slowly deteriorating and re-animating into another one.
"I said no thanks. I'm staying. He needs me." She spat angrily, ready to slam the door in her face. She didn't though. She wasn't sure how powerful this witch was or what she could do. She didn't even think magic really existed, only to be standing here and find out that it does.
The witch's appearance continued to morph into something so dark and heinous... old. Her true appearance was revealed to them in moments. Yellow teeth, grey skin that hung loose around her frame, but those green eyes, they stayed the same, full of rage.
Her straw like grey hair seemed to stand on its ends as the witch clenched her fists, glaring holes in the seventeen-year-old girl. "You want to stay with him? This... beast?" She eyed Sebastian with an evil glint in her eyes.
"I do." Belle responded dryly, feeling fear form in the pit of her stomach. What would this witch try now that she wasn't getting what she wanted?
"You can't switch things up." Beast garbled, his teeth snapping, wanting to take a bite out of the wretched evil witch. "You cursed me and I've suffered long enough. She's finally come to me. She's here. Why are you doing this." He growled, his eyes dropping to Belle every other second, not believing what he had heard come out of her mouth.
She agreed to stay. She had a choice and she said she wanted to stay. How could that even be? They hadn't even begun to form a relationship, much less a friendship. How could she say she wanted to stay, even when he looked the way he did? Was it because of the sparks? Did she feel the magic he felt whenever she touched him?
The witch smirked and evil smirk, looking up at the beast. "Because that curse wasn't just your punishment. It was my experiment, but, like all things, the reasons have changed. You are no longer meant to be what you are.. to have a mate.. to break the curse and reproduce. It was never only about your punishment for the crime against my daughter, Sebastian." She clenched her jaw as she remembered her beloved daughter.
Belle frowned, not understanding what the witch was going on about but she did know the story behind it at least. She stepped up, crossing her arms with a scowl on her beautiful face. "He has suffered enough. Your daughter was just plain dumb if she thought she would just have the baby and come back to Sebastian saying, 'oh look, I had a baby.. it's yours! Will you be with me forever and ever?'" Her eyes rolled. "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. She lost the baby and that's sad but she shouldn't have killed herself just because she didn't think Sebastian would never be with her. That is some psychotic sh!t, lady! If you ask me, she sounded like a real nut case, no offense."
