Prologue
We grew up with each other and I knew that she wasn't like any normal person. Everyone knew she wasn't ordinary. She possesses something that not everyone has. She's a special case.
Still, that never stopped me from being attached to her.
We were young when I first loved her as a friend. Then I loved her as my best friend. We saw how each other matured. And just before she turned 20, I knew that I was falling in love with the young lady who's maturing to be a woman.
She was the girl who taught me a lot of things. From the numerous lessons I learned from her, one of them had the most impact in my life.
"Life isn't as long as we think it to be so never waste the chance to say thank you, sorry, and I love you."
She did her best to live as if everyday was her last. And I knew why. We all knew why.
And with every breath she took, she made sure to make it count.

A/N: This fanfic idea has been killing me and I just had to put it up. I'm sorry. I know I have AoN and FWIA to work on (and a couple of requests too) but I can't resist this.
This is a Jeric Teng fanfiction, by the way. It won't be really long. Maybe less than 10 chapters lang. I'm still drafting it in my head. :))
