"I don't think you should use that ladder anymore. It's too dangerous." You felt the vibration behind you and when you turned, familiar warm brown eyes met yours. You were dazed at first, captivated by his beatiful face and kind eyes. He smiled up at you, intensifying your rapture. "Hey."
You blinked when you realized that you weren't together anymore; remembering the despicable thing he did to you. You immediately pulled yourself up and once you were in an upright position, you looked everywhere except at him. "What are you doing here?" You asked as you picked up the books from the floor.
"Why aren't you answering my calls?"
"I asked first."
"Im here," he said as he leaned his hand on the shelf, half looming over you. "Because you weren't answering my calls." He sighed as you continued to ignore him by stacking some books. "Eunmi, we need to talk--"
"There's nothing to talk about." You spat. "The article says it all."
Jongin huffed, "Aren't you even going to listen to my--"
"Do you deny it?" You whirled at him. Jongin opened his mouth to answer but then closed it again.
You stared at him and asked again, "Do you deny it, Jongin?"
He remained silent and that was all the answer you needed. You felt your heart drop; the betrayal piercing through your heart once again. You never thought it would hurt so much hearing it from himself; even though he barely spoken a word, letting his facial expressions do the talking.
"Like I said," you sighed as you turned away from him, continuing your job. "There's nothing to talk about."
Jongin watched you with a heavy heart as you started push the cart away. He wanted to fix this, to make it right because he loved you and he wanted you back. "Eunmi please..." He said as he caught up with you. "Let me explain. Im sorry. I didn't know what i was thinking--"
You scoffed, "Of course you didn't."
"Im serious..."
"Leave me alone Jongin." You spat. "I don't want to see you."
Jongin grunted as he moved passed you and stopped the cart from moving; a determined expression etched on his features. "Im not leaving until you talk to me."
You rolled your eyes as you let go of the cart and move to pass him. But before you could leave he caught your arm, "Yah, Eunmi. Will you just listen?!"
"No Jongin." You removed your arm from his grip, focefully. "I had enough. You cheated on me."
"I know," he said and his looked like he in pain. "And Im so sorry, I didn't know what I was thinking. I was confused--"
"Confused about what?" You threw at him. "Of our relationship? Wasn't I enough for you?"
"No, of course you are! You're more than--"
"Screw you!" You snapped and saw him wince. "If I was more than 'enough'," you quoted sarcastically. "Then you wouldn't have cheated. You wouldn't have been seen in that car with the so-called mystery girl--"
"I was wrong okay?!" He said as he held your hands, which were ice cold; a sign that he was nervous. "Please Eunmi, Im sorry. Let me make it up--"
You removed your hand from him, "Go Jongin. Leave me alone. We don't want another scandal gossips to go around." You said. "Besides, you don't want another mystery girl, do you?" You spat, emphasizing the last part as you turned away from him; leaving him standing there, regretful, heartbroken and guilty...
Technically, like hell.
Jongin sighed as he watched you go.
Definitely like hell.
