"Hey!" Nio said, greeting us at the front of the school. I look up at the school, the windows cover most of the surface of the main building in the middle. The other building is a circles the main building except for the front entrance. Me and Chloe make our way over to her, Nio always wears the same outfit on school campus, I never see her wear anything else then her school uniform. But then again we never talk outside of the school.
"Finally, your here." Nio said, with a devils smile. The kind of smile to make you think she knows something you don't. "I thought you totally blew me off. I've been waiting for an hour."
"Got side tracked," I say, giving my best smile. "Thought we were being followed so we tock the back alleys, roads, try not to make any noise, it was better safe than sorry."
"Yeah I guess so, we would not like that kind of 'attention' here. Consider yourself lucky." Nio said. With a blank expression. She is looking behind me, making sure no one is looking our way.
"So, what now?" Chloe said, looking around.
"Well, the best thing to do is keep you guys in hiding for a while, ill hammer out any details with the dorms." Nio said, looking at the main building then back at us, noticing our bags of crap that we gathered last minute. "we should start making our ways to the dorms. You guys hungry?" she said started walking
"Yeah, I'm starving. I skipped lunch" Chloe said putting her hand on her stomach.
"You're in luck, Echo university has the best school food, and that's saying something, such as chicken and dumpling and grilled cheeses with tomato soup, etcetera, etcetera." Nio said as we enter the main building, "dose not sound very fancy for a private school." it was not as crowed as I thought it would be. There were only a few people in here, like the teachers and students coming in and out. "That stuff is usually in the "healthy line''', Nio said making air markings. "that's what we usually make for the homesick kids."
"This is a 'no longing area'" Nio said, not even turning our way as she walks over to the elevators." if you are caught you get into trouble, which means earlier curfew and less privileges. So in other words don't get caught, if you do I can't help you. So take this as your warnings."
"Very strict." Chloe said, to no one in particular.
"It has to be, there are so many people on this campus, and without rules there would be complete chaos." Nio resounds, clicking the up button.
I blank out the rest of the rest conversation, when we get to the '34' floor we got out and walk down a continues hallway till we reach room 16. The hallway is very dark, very dim. Nio opened the door with a key card.
"Home sweet home." Nio said walking out of the way and welcoming us inside. I was in front and got the first look of the room. It's way bigger than other dorm rooms in other schools.
"Man, this is bigger than our apartment." Chloe said, looking up in awe. Setting down her bags near the coffee table. "We are staying here?"
Nio walks into the room with a censer smile and lends agents the couch "Yes, for the moment, I only got clearance for one night. I'm going to the person in charge of the dorms later, after I get you two something to eat."
"Sounds good to me" Chloe said.
I through my bags on my bed. 2 queen size beds. This school must be loaded, there's a TV, a mini fringe as well as desks. Home sweet home. "I think I can get used to this." I say, taking out a soda from my bag.
"Yeah, you're living the dream for now." Nio said, "Alright, let's start making our way to the cafeteria, I'm starving."
"Yeah okay, you ready?" Chloe asks me.
"Yeah," I say. "Lead the way"
Nio nods her head and walks out the door, Chloe follows after her.
