"Fudge" I say, as I leaned forward, doubting my eyes. I do see the light coming from the tunnel, far away but moving closer to me, not like a train or anything of the sort. I need to get out of here. I keep my flash light down on the floor. I stand up and run down the cars of the train. I focus on what I'm doing. I move soundlessly as I run. It is pointless to look out the windows. They are too dirty to be see through.
As I get to the car that had a Brocken window, I hear voices from outside. I instinctively turned off my light and stopped moving. I see lights from outside moving acrossed the train itself. I crouched and walked to the wall near the window. Listening.
" where the hell is this kid?" One voice said, it was a male. These people are looking for me?
Fudge sickles.
Hitmen? Those guys aren't cheap and there are a lot in Chicago. Mercenaries that work for a pay check. So who would pay for my death?
Does not matter. What matters is getting the hell out of here. I got bigger problems to deal with.
"Look around, the kids here so where. Find her. Now!" Said from a different guy.
I really don't want to deal with this now. But what can I do?
This cart is the way I came in, if they come in here themselves, I'm trap. I'll have now where to go. I wait till there lights don't shine on the window. That is when ill make a run for it out the window and doge behind a pillar. When there is nothing I get up and hurried out the car. As I'm outside I see 4 guys. All moving there flash lights around. I crouched down and move to the darkness behind a pillar. Out of there sight. Listen to their movements and being cautious of mine. There is one in front of the vending machine. The door was ajar slightly but the guy does not seem to notice it. My way out. He's not going to move unless I give him a reason. I take a piece of brick that way lying next to the pillar and wait. Waiting for him to shift his attention to something else. I look over to the people, all turning over the place looking for me. I look back forward and keep my focus on getting out. I wait till he not looking at the train then I throw the brick in that direction , making a loud crash. I see the shift of lights towards the train, as the man who stood in the way of the machine move past me, I see that he has a pistol... he was armed. No doubt that the other are too. When their backs where turned to me, I stayed in the shadows and make my way to the vending machine. Creeping as silently As I can, can't afford them to find my location and back me into a corner, or worse. I'm at the machine pulling slowly, the vending machine open with barely any sound I spare a glance over to what the people where doing, they found the broken window and going inside. As I enter the little tunnel I closed the passage way behind me and bolted down the tunnel.
"That was too close" I thought. I turned, feeling that I just jinx myself. I move up through the tunnel, staying soundless to be sure no one is in here with me. I count my steps. This will help me not hit the end of the tunnel without a flash light. I listen. I hear nothing, but my own footsteps. I slow down. Knowing that there will be something in front of me, any minute now. I put my hands out in front of me like I'm Velma trying to find her glasses as I walk slowly. Sure enough I feel the cool metal at the palm of my hand. I feel around it to find the handle like I did before. I felt it and I pushed down on it. I hear a click and a small amount of light coming from the crack of the door. Before I open it up all the way I listen for any footsteps, voices. But I hear nothing but my own breathing. I shoved the door open. I walk out. Something grabbed me from behind. It rapped its arm around me. I let out a scream. The person who has me picks me up. I kick both my legs out, trying to make this man lose balance. I regain my mind and think this through. I bring up both my legs and hit him agents the his knee. The man screams out in pain. He lets me go and I fall to the floor. I land on my arm. I get back up fast. Not letting him have time to react. The man was on the ground, holding his one knee. I kick him in his head hard that makes him he falls to the floor unconscious I make sure he stays there. I take a quick glance around, no one else is here. I ran to the window and jump out of it. Time to go home.
...I tack the back alleys, roads and some highly pact side walks. If someone was tracking me, this is the best way for them to lose my scent. After I felt I was safe, I bring down my hood. My hood is the only thing that helps me hide my identity, or at least hide my emotions for the most part. Totally emo.
After couple minutes I put my hand on my stomach, I felt like was starving to death. To bad I'm broke, I won't be able to buy as much as I need. But There was a small fast food place. Anything seems good at this point. Even in the bad part of City. This place is high on crime. Oh, well. What can you do?
The "Trunk" is the fast food place. I'm questioning the food now like I am questioning its name, but beggars can't be choosers. I reach in my pocket looking for cash, if I have any. I feel paper and take it out. It was a five dollar bill. Better than nothing.
The "trunk" smelled like sea food. Which is... Weird. Mostly because it's a burger place. I order my food and get a drink. I stand by the side of the truck and wait for my food. I tack out my phone and look at the pictures I've taken of the train interior. I look at the posters on the wall. I can't think of anything that comes up with those numbers. They might not even be phone numbers.
"Here's your food" person calls. I look up and and take my "food" if you can even call food. As I look up I see a guy who was watching me, but looked down as soon as he relished I was looking at him. Was he a hitmen? Homeless? A politic of some sort? It would make sense if he lived here. Most are crap anyway. .
I walk and eat at the same time. Trying to creat as much distance between me and him as possible while running the numbers' in my head. What do they mean?
Hopefully I can figure this out before someone can kill me for it
