Today was the day. I'm moving today. Currently, I'm in my room. There are boxes all over. I finished putting most of my clothes in bins, the rest in a suitcase. There was a knock on the door. "Come in!" I yelled.

It was a couple of my friends, Dani, Sara, and Meg. "We thought we should come to see you before you move, since we probably won't see each other for a long time." Dani said.

"Aww, you guys didn't have to come here for me!" I replied with a grin. I pulled them all in for a hug. They stayed over for the next hour, and we were just talking. I really am gonna miss these guys. Sadly, I had to leave for my flight.

"Well, we're gonna try to keep in contact!" Meg announced as she sat in her car.

"I'll keep on sending them memes, homeboy." Sara poked her head out of the window. I grinned.

"I'll text you once I touch down in Kansas." I waved my final goodbyes to them as they drove away. I walked back inside to the kitchen and began talking with my mom.

"Are you all packed?" She asked me.

"Everything is packed except my phone and laptop, they're charging." I informed her.

"Okay, well go check on your brother, make sure he's packed," my mom said. "And I'll check on dad. Then we'll leave." I walked to my brother, Miles's room, and knocked on the door frame.

"You all packed?" I asked as I got his attention.

He nodded. "We going now?" He asked.

"If dad's ready, yes." I walked down to my room, and grabbed my jacket and backpack off the hooks on my wall. I walked to my bed and put my laptop, and chargers in the backpack and put my phone in my pocket. I grabbed my suitcase and put on my backpack and jacket and walked upstairs.

"We're all ready?" My mom asked all of us. We all nodded. "Well the Lyft just got here, so we best be leaving right now."

We put all our stuff in the car, then went to the airport. We got on the flight in time, and the flight was about six hours total and the drive to our new house was about three. We got there at around 6 pm. We shipped our cars here about a week ago, so we have the freedom to go wherever we want whenever we want. The guys are getting here within the week, and, surprisingly, our houses are all on the same street. Anyway, I just unpacked my suitcase and made my bed. My bedroom was on the other side of the house from the other ones, and our house is fairly large, so basically I can blast music at three in the morning and all my family could hear was nothing above a whisper.

"Kate we're going to iHop!" My mom yelled up the stairs. I bolted down the stairs.

We went to iHop, and it was late once we got home, so I went to sleep.

It's now the next day, and today we're unpacking. I was sitting on my bed, scrolling through twitter. I heard my mom yell up the stairs.

"Honey, some of our new neighbors are coming over soon," she yelled as she walked towards my room. "You should probably shower or something."

"Okay." I responded. She walked back down. I walked out of my room to the bathroom across the hall. I already put towels in here, so I didn't have to worry about that.

Twenty minutes later, I looked presentable. I was wearing blue skinny jeans and a white cable knit sweater. I walked downstairs into the living room where the rest of my family sat watching something on TV.
