AUTUMN'S POV

*3 Hours Earlier*

"Michael," I paused. "We need to talk."

I saw Michael shut in his seat, I stood up taking his arm and pulling him towards a more private part of the library. "What Autumn?" Michael asked and I crossed my arms.

"I was talking to Dean-" Michael scoffed adding an eye roll. "That. That's what we need to discuss." I sounded like me again for that moment and I shook my head. "Deans been saying you've been pulling away from him and not talking to him."

"Why does that matter to you?"  Michael scoffed again and slide down the wall to the floor where he sat down his arms still crossed.

I pulled out my phone and looked down at the long text from Dean I had received, I read it out loud.

'Autumn, can you figure out what the hell is going on with Michael? He won't talk to anyone since Tuesday. It's getting annoying. I figured since you had tutoring with him you can fix whatever the fuck is bothering him. People are starting to question my friend group because apparently we "kicked out" the rainbow haired one. It's bullshit, y we should suffer because of him. Just talk to Michael k?'

Michael stayed silent throughout the reading until he crossed his arms afterwards, "So what's there to talk about? I don't hang out with Dean anymore what's the problem?"

I frowned, "They are your friends? You shouldn't just drop them."

He looked right at me, "Isn't that what you did to me?"

My face turned hot and I had to look away from Michael's hurt grey eyes. "Not technically." I barked in self defense and Michael rolled his eyes.

"So what did you 'technically' do to me then?" I froze and kept my eyes locked and the wall behind Michael, "huh!? Broke my heart and left me out in the cold? Not letting me even explain myself to you?" Michaels fist clenched and he kept rambling but my mind stayed set on three words. "You went and changed yourself for what? To prove a point?! Well what a fucking point you made, you change to make other people like you, which is pointless!"

"It's not pointless!" I yelled, tears threatening to roll down my face. "People actually like me now..." I gained the courage to look back at Michael, assuming he'd have a scolding glare towards me but he held a weak smile.

"You always had people who liked you..." He trailed off and those three words jumped back into my mind.

"I broke your heart?" I questioned and Michael advanced towards me with a quick step; our faces were almost touching now and I could feel a blush blossoming on my cheeks. He nodded slowly and pushed his lips against mine. You'd think with all the feelings I had for him: hate, disapproval, betrayal all the negative feelings that with this one kiss they couldn't be washed away but at this moment they were. I blinked letting my eyes open then pulled away from Michael.
