Chapter 30: The right team

     If you took a look inside Branch's head right now, you'd see the cogs turning faster than ever as a new worry popped into his head. As much as he was happy that they were gonna open a new chapter in their lives, he couldn't help but think of every single thing that could go wrong.

     What if it got too cold outside one night and it freezes? What if the pod doesn't feel loved enough? Sure it was only the pod, but it could be a big deal. What if something, anything happens to their pod?? No matter what could happen, he would feel at fault for an injury, or even loss of their child. But Branch couldn't let Poppy know of his worries. It would only stress her out, and maybe make her change her mind just because of his silly worrying.

     The pink troll however couldn't wait to get onward with their preparations.

     "So Branch.. when do you want to do this..?" She wondered. In all honesty, he was afraid to answer. He wanted it to be special and he wasn't really good at planning last minute things. But didn't want to let it span out like he knew it would if they didn't do it that night. A thought suddenly ran through his head.

"Oh no, please don't be for real." He thought to himself. But unfortunately, it was his only option. He'd have to ask the snack pack for help. The chill of awkwardness flew up his spine. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy their company, in fact, he had grown quite fond of the group. They were practically part of the family. But it does seem a little awkward to walk up to their friends saying "hey guys, Poppy and I are gonna try to have a kid so I need you to help me make a romantic mood. Thanks!"

     The pink troll always loved surprises. It got her very excited and that's exactly what he needed.

     "Um, not sure. How about tomorrow?" He questioned. A bright smile beamed from her face.

     "Okay! If you don't mind, I'm gonna go look at some cute baby stuff." She got up and planted a kiss on his cheek, causing him to slightly melt. Shortly after she left, he made his way out the door as well. Trying to find the happy group.

     It didn't take long for the teal troll to do so as he found them drinking coffee at a nearby café. Guy Diamond sipped his drink and smiled as the teal troll walked towards them.

     "Look who it is! Man of the hour. Guessing the talk went well."

     "I guess you could say so. How did you know?"

     "We just saw Poppy pass by a few minutes ago. She was super happy as she looked in windows of baby stores. At first we thought it was kinda odd you weren't with her. But here you are!" Biggie smiled alongside Mr. Dinkles.

     "Well, um, about that, she doesn't really know I'm out here so if we can kinda keep it down, it would mean a lot."

     "You know Branch, sneaking around isn't very dandy. Why so sneaky?" Asked Suki.

     Branch took a deep breath in his nose and out through his mouth. The gang leaned in closer to hear him so he didn't have to speak so loud.

     "I want to throw her something special. Not really a party since it'll be the two of us, but I want it to be romantic. I told her tomorrow, but she's be really surprised if it was today. But.. I need your help to create the perfect mood. Please?"

     Satin and Chenille looked at each other, then the group. With all smiles, the twins took a sip of their drinks and smiled.

     "You've called the right team to help." They both said simultaneously.
