You could hear the couple gulp at the same time as the last few words replayed in their heads a few times, finally speaking out-loud simultaneously after a few seconds of slight panic.
"The whole town...?"
"Yeah, surprise!" Shouted Guy Diamond, instantly being shushed by the doctor.
Poppy looked over at Branch as he looked back at her. The two shared very worried expression. The pink troll felt a gentle touch on her shoulder, looking over to see her father.
"Poppy, are you alright? Do you need anything? How about you Branch my boy?" He asked quietly.
You could hear how nervous she was beginning to get as Poppy spoke to her father, giving a squeeze on her husband's hand.
"N-No thank you D-Dad.. I-I'm fine..!" She said, trying to sound excited for her family and friends. The teal troll chimed in as he let go of her hand.
"Can I see you guys over there please?" He asked politely to the group. Without hesitation, the small group walked over to the other end of the tree branch. As quiet as he could be while still being heard, Branch spoke aloud.
"Listen guys, we both appreciate the effort you guys took to get the entire town to get over here, but Poppy's already super stressed as it is. I don't think the extra pressure of having to deliver her child with the town listening to everything she does is helping. Do you guys mind if you moved the "party" somewhere else..?"
To Branch's surprise, the snack pack and Peppy actually took his request very well. Instantly nodding their heads, they turned, ready to head down. Branch stopped them before they left.
"Thank you guys so much. You have no idea how much we appreciate it. We promise that as soon as the baby is born, we'll bring him or her over to meet you guys first."
"Does this mean we can stay in your bunker for the day??" Cooper said with a large smile, the other's having the same one painted on their faces. As afraid as he was to allow them to stay there, whatever it took to get them to give them some privacy he'd have to allow.
"Alright, but don't break anything..!" Nodding once more, the snack pack went down to face the mob of trolls down below.
"Listen up! The Queen and King need some privacy, so we're moving this party to town square! Grab your stuff and let's get this party rolling!" Shouted Suki. The crowd cheered as they made their way to town following the king and queen's close friends and father.
Back above, Poppy gave Branch a semi relived smile. Squeezing his hand a little tighter.
"Thank you.. I know that probably wasn't easy to do.."
"Actually, it wasn't so bad. But don't worry about it. Our friends have it under control. Let's just get this baby to hatch." The teal troll gave her a confident smile as she gave him the same in return. Poppy had been helping Dr. Plum Plimsy for hours, trying as many things as they could to get the pod to crack. They actually made pretty good progress with the large crack that had appeared.
"Alrighty, we're almost done. We got this nice soft blanket for the baby to snuggle in, now all we need is a baby." Dr. Plimsy said enthusiastically. The Queen, as odd as it sounds, was very nervous for the moments to come. She turned to her husband and he could easily see the nerves showing more than they already had. Pecking her head, he began to sing.
"I see your true colors shining through. I see your true colors, and that's why I love you~"
In response to his song, the pink troll softly chuckled and continued.
"So don't be afraid, to let them show"
Dr. Plimsy stood and watched as the pod cracked some more. It was almost fully cracked.
"Alright, it's time! I need to both over here to catch the baby!" Quickly, the couple raced over, holding their arms under the blanket outward, calming their fears in song.
"Your true colors, true colors-"
Instantly, the pod cracked open and landing in their arms was a healthy baby girl. Her cries blended together as they cried tears of joy, embracing their new baby.
"Are Beautiful..~"
