Oh bother, where should I start, I suppose not much happened till the first family moved in so I suppose I'll start there.

So, I once was a new, little house, all nice and neat and clean, but so empty, I lay empty for nearly a year before the Luthins moved in.

They were a young couple, only been married 2 years; I was their first house. When they first started moving stuff in it felt so good to have things inside and people moving around. They set up one of the bedrooms as an office for Laura, the one with the big windows. She liked those windows; she had her desk facing them so she could look out at the garden.

The second bedroom they made theirs, they set up a big bed and put clothes in the closets. They put up a large mirror in the corner and put in a small bookshelf filled with notebooks and journals.

The third bedroom the put all the boxes in, there were stacks almost to the ceiling, some were heavy, and some felt like they were filled with feathers, but I didn't mind, I was being used, filled with things that these people would use, or never touch, it didn't matter, I had a family inside me for the first time and it made me so happy.

The kitchen was probably the prettiest room once they had finished unpacking, they filled the cabinets with blue and white decorated plates and delicate little teacups, they filled the drawers with baking sheets and pots and pans and cooking utensils. they filled the cabinet next to the stove with cook books and the cabinets below the sink with cleaning supplies that they would use to keep me nice and pretty. And they used the small counter next to the fridge as a coffee station, filling it with beautiful smelling coffees and teas and the like.

The living room, as they called it, was the coziest room, bookshelves lined and entire wall and a big couch was pushed up against the opposite wall, they drilled into my walls and hung a big flat screen TV above the fireplace, they decorated the walls with pictures of family, all smiling together. The placed a coffee table in front of the couch and covered it with books full of beautiful, colorful, artwork. And they put a big, comfy chair in front of the bookshelves.

They put towels and sheets in a small closet under the stairs in the hall. they then proceeded to lay down a long rug all the way down the hall from the kitchen door, past the stairs, to the living room

When they finally got everything put away at the end of the week they sat down on the couch and fell asleep cuddling.
